Male, EL 1st, age 17yrs, oil pastels and watercolor, 11”x17”, 12th gr, had art in 1st-3rd and 8th grade. EL reflected on his work, “I just winged it, went with my imagination.” EL demonstrates typical late adolescent avoidance of drawing realistic art due to lack of skill, preferring non-representational artwork that is not judged for realism.
