Ibis paint brushes suck so I'm just gnna use the lasso tool thingy

Was looking back at my early 2022 art yesterday, and in stories I showed off some of my painted paper collage, and they really inspired me to experiment with a more collage like style in digital art as well!! This was made using Photoshop and just my mouse (no drawing stylus or anything like that) and I basically just used the polygonal lasso tool to make the shapes and then did clipping masks with different textures I've scanned through the years! I really love how it turned out…

Another digital collage, made using my mouse! I find it almost easier to get this angular "collage" look just using a polygon lasso tool and a mouse since I just click at the "corners" and don't have to really draw!! And then for this I used some @stephfizercoleman stamp paint brushes for the paint texture - they're so good and easy to use!! Another photo study. It really amazes me how the overall look and style of a painting changes with the brush used and the overall approach. For this piece I mostly used lasso tool which almost felt like a cheat ngl.
