Guest Designer Card for "I spy with my little eye" - #12 something beginning with B

Today I'm a guest designer over at at Simply Ellibelle's blog and her "I spy with my little eye" challenge. And the theme is "something beginning with B".

I have several B-elements on my card - like boy, birthday, ball, balloon, bling, banner - maybe you will spot more than me?

I have used a die from Papirdesign for the boy, the balloon die was part of the Spellbinder advent calendar last year and the circle is a die from Pinkfresh.

As I have 5 nephews, ranging from 8 to 28 years of age, I am always in need of some masculine designs. This card will go to one of the teenagers.

New masculine stamp

New year and new stash to use - lucky me:) I've used a new to me stamp from Dylisions, but I only cut parts of it out with as a tag, using dies from StudioLight.
I used black, grey and white colors and papers only, and I followed a sketch.
Did I follow the theme of celebration too? I think, probably yes, as this is a card for boy for his confirmation. I'm not sure if this is a practised in other countries, but confirmation is a ritual that marks the transition from childhood to adulthood. It is originally a Christian ritual. In Norway, there are many different options for confirmation, both in religious and non-religious communities.

This card is for:
Allsorts
  - #710 Something New
The Paper Players
- #622 Tag, You're It!
Sunday Stamps
- #300 Sketch - Let's Celebrate

Bonus card:

I also made another card for the same occasion, using the same stamp and tag dies set, but not entering into challenges. As I have family memebers, and they in turn have friends and neighbours in the right age for confirmation as well, I'm trying to make a batch of cards for this occasion. And I'm trying to be more efficient in my cardmaking, without ruining all the fun, of course:)

14

Numbers can be used for birthday cards, for every year up to a certain age, then it becomes more natural only for anniversaries and special celebrations. But using numbers as the main feature leaves so many options.

For this card I used Tim Holtz Numeric stamps, heat embossed with white EP and put blue distress ink on top. The sentiment is in Norwegian and die cut with gold glitter paper. I used small star stamps from different sets with gold ink.

Die cuts and designer papers

One of my nephews' birthday is coming up and I made him this card using a new die from Papirdesign - the boy in his hoodie - and 2 older ones, a stitched one from MFT and an ornate one from Spellbinder.

I used 3 different designer paper leftovers in aqua and brown tones. I used several birthday greeting stamps for the frame. The bottom left corner felt empty so decided to add his age with old stickers from stash.

INK #256 - Goal

For our first challenge of 2022 we have the word prompt of GOAL at Inkspirational

You can interpret this theme in many different ways, but I went with a sports theme and made a football (soccer) inspired card. I used a die from Dixi Craft, and I believe the topper is the same brand. I used my hexagon dies to cut different DPs and I stamped the background using a fishnet stamp and a numbered one.

Purples only

I haven't been crafting as regularly and often as I'd like this year. Whenever I struggle to get back to it I find it useful to play with sketches, and I often make more than one card using the same sketch.
For this card I made my own background, using a stencil from Finnabair and foil with a laminator.
The top panel was cut with a Penny Black antique frame die. The girl is a stamp from Prima, I tend to use only the legs on this stamp, but here I went with the upper body for a change. A stamped and die cut sentiment were added. Only purple colors were used.

Sketch + card for a teenager

Happy Friday!
I love playing with sketches, I love doing carrd for boys and men. So I definetely wanted to take the opportunity to play with the Paper Players' sketch and to make cinfirmation card for a boy.
I kept it simple but decorated the inside as well. DPs, stamped sneakers and a bit of sparkle for the die cut sentiment.

INK #231 - Shoes photo

For our challenge at Inkspirational this fortnight we have a photo.
I had several ideas for this theme but opted for a masculine take as I've got 5 nephews and am in constant need of cards for males of all ages.
The image is cut out from a Maja Design paper, the die cut frame is from Altenew. I used stencils as stamps together with Speckled egg and Pumice stone Distress Oxides. A left ofer piece of a Lawn Fawn DP was used, turqoise enamel dots and birthdays greetings stamped. For the stars I used a stencil and gold Nuvo expanding mousse.

Please head over to the challenge blog to see the wonderful makes of my INK-teamies.

Black, white and gold for a teenager

Today I've finished up a youthful masculine design, using black, white and gold.
The footwear is part of a more detailed stamp, but I cut them out after heat embossing with black.
For the background I used a new stamp from the Concord&9th "Seasonal Borders" set. I stamped with Altenew Enchanted gold ink. I used the same ink to cover the die cut frame from Altenew.
On top of the stamped border I used a Memory Box burlap stencil with gold Nuvo expanding mousse (fun stuff!). I blended some of the mousse with water to add some golden splatter.
I stamped the happy birthday and used one of the dies from Concord&9th "Season of cheer" set. A few gold star stickers from my stash.

Ink #211 - Paint splatters

This fortnight the theme for our new challenge at Inkspirational is paint splatters.
I made another card for my nephew Noah's 13th birthday. I used the footballer die from Dixi Craft, cut in white and another one in black for shadow. I added number 13 on his chest, to represent his age, and also die cut letters to add his name. A birthday greeting was stamped.
The background was made with blue inks and brushos. I used watered out gesso and blue ink to make splatters. I also used a stamp with numbers and text and another one with circles, stamped with blue ink, so it's very subtile. A few stars were added as well.
Please head over to the challenge blog to see what my teammates have made.

Football and sketch

I have 5 nephews and I've always enjoyed making cards for them. However, once they turn teenagers it gets a bit more tricky. I don't want the cards to be too childish and the beer and wine stamps are not fitting for many more years:)

My nephew Noah turns 13 this year and he loves to play and watch football, so I treated myself to this die from Dixi Craft and some football themed papers.  I used a MB stencil and a birthday sentiment stamp for the panel.
