Developing wiki CC World University and School, like Wikipedia with best STEM-centric OpenCourseWare, accrediting on CC MIT OCW in 7 languages and CC Yale OYC to begin. WUaS also plans wiki schools in ALL languages for open teaching and learning, and potentially in Wikidata.

Wikidata/Wikibase-centrism re programming languages for supporting newcomers makes much sense :) As a possible newcomer developer (and having donated WUaS to Wikidata last autumn), I'd be interested in a page that even would precede https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Programming_languages. In developing in both Wikidata/Wikibase (and MediaWiki), I'd be interested programming language-wise possibly in finding information from here - www.whatcanidoforwikimedia.org and https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/ - as ways in.
"To add to Quiddity's observation from yesterday: "So, let's focus tomorrow's conversation on helping newcomers identify "What can I work on in language foo"" I'd explore how and in what programming languages ... and especially in Wikidata/Wikibase" re today's Wikimedia-Office hour at 14:30

[14:11] <Scott_WUaS_> Here's WUaS MediaWiki with about 7 pages only: And WUaS here is now in German (partly thanks to Google Translate - https://translate.google.com - a kind of machine translation) ~ http://worlduniversityandschool.org/WUaS_En_Wiki ... > ... http://worlduniversityandschool.org/WUaS_De_Wiki. And similarly Languages at WUaS MediaWiki is now too in German (again partly thanks to Google Translate) ~
Thanks for starting #WorldUnivandSch in IRC last week from this ArchCom meeting last week ... very much!

Such great steps and advances with process with RUST and Phabricator - Congratulations!

Thanks for this important discussion. I'm curious how these ArchCom roles might change and develop say 5 years out, and what already exists in terms of parallel roles at other IT organizations (e.g. Google). For example, might these roles 5 or 10 years ahead become project manager and associate project manager (who then might become a project manager a year later), while retaining their facilitator / shepherd relationship and foci, and in terms of who reports to whom organizationally especially? Thanks.

Rob, MZMcBride and All,
MZMcBride, RobLa and All, Why not specifically make these ArchCom discussions "open," in the manner of friends, and for scaling purposes, with "minuting" of the Architecture Committee meetings' decisions occurring here in Phabricator, with Rob as current ArchCom facilitator, and with shepherds (to move the decision process along in a timely way, emerging for this and related groups)? I think this "process" will scale well. (And discussions will of course occur in private, but it's the open ArchCom meetings - are these on Wednesdays at 2pm PT - where the Phabricator decisions are minuted for process's sake). Thank you.

CC World University and School, potentially planning to develop with MediaWiki in all of Wikipedia's ~ 300 languages, plus the remaining 7,638 other ones, would consider being part of this Architecture Committee subgroup, or forked group (re the [Wikitech-l] Scope of ArchCom email thread).

@RobLa-WMF : Can you please clarify the first sentence "We now MediaWiki-RfCs and RfC, which now greatly complicates being able to rename "mediawiki-rfcs" " ... in this https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T124255 ?

Trial-ing the RFC process part makes a lot of sense.

Here's the blog post with further information about sister project CC WUaS's donation to CC Wikidata - http://worlduniversityandschool.blogspot.com/2015/10/donation-of-cc-world-university-school.html.
Thanks, Romaine. After donating sister-project CC World University & School (WUaS) to CC Wikidata to celebrate its 3rd birthday, WUaS would like to participate in and help develop this.

Quim and All, Where does this project stand now? How might we develop it further? Thank you, Scott

Thanks for the clarification that "Wiki Loves Open Data [:)] should guide organizations through the process of contributing content to Wikidata" (https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T104701) ... and World University looks forward to learning how this will work. I also recently posted my email of yesterday to you, Quim, and Jane here - http://scott-macleod.blogspot.com/2015/07/impatiens-species-structuring-world.html - in terms of WUaS's ~ 10 main foci/areas, as possible contributions to Wikidata, and establishing a framework to engage with data engineers and open data organizations.
Hi Quim (Markus) and Wikidatans,
