MobileFrontend or Minerva has no special treatment for Lua modules.

What do you mean by "it gets stuck"?

Please see https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug

@Reedy "it gets stuck" means that a mobile app (for example, the mobile browser), gets freezed and not respond.

Please see https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug. "it gets stuck" is not a useful bug report.

What is it? The mobile apps? Android? iOS? A mobile browser?

@Reedy A mobile browser, in the Wikipedia mobile website.

@RodneyAraujo please read the link Reedy has given specifically spanish version. There is not a lot we can do unless we have a URI and reproduction steps.

@Reedy Here it is the problems

Steps to reproduce the problem

  1. Go to https://en.m.wikipedia.org in a mobile device.
  2. Load a Lua module, for example, https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Module:Message_box

iPhone 8, iOS 14.2. Works fine for me.

What device and OS version are you experiencing this on?

@Reedy I've experienced this in a Samsung Galaxy A50, Android 10, Google Chrome 86.

Wiley Fox Swift 2X, Android 8.1.0. Chrome 87 also works fine..

It's probably worth trying to update your version of Chrome, along with any OS updates if available.

And also send feedback to Google via "Help & Feedback" that the page is locking up Chrome, as this seems more likely to be a Chrome/OS bug rather than a MW bug.

It is a fairly big page...

@Reedy can please me give a screenshot of the android device with the page? thanks.

@Reedy can you reproduce this problem in a desktop device, with the mobile view enabled?

Nope. It loads fine and scrolls without issue

@Reedy so only is a problem of the device, not a Mediawiki issue.

It sounds like it. If it was crashing many devices, and this was because MW was sending something it shouldn't, then there would be something to investigate

Closing per last comments. @RodneyAraujo: In the future, please always follow https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug and structure your tasks. Thanks.
