Rare set of 3 vintage ceramic 'Paprika' (peppers) vases by Swedish designer Anna-Lisa Thomson (1905-1952). The listing includes all 3 vases shown. Dark brown ceramic vases, worked with Sgraffito technique (where a sharp object is used to carve a pattern in a glazed surface) with contrasting lance-shaped glazed leaves which offer a striking contrast to the unglazed surface. Thomson designed the 'Paprika series' in 1948 for the ceramics company Upsala Ekeby in Sweden, the series consists of…
