Flutterby Wednesday Challenge 102

Here is my entry for the Flutterby Wednesday 102, which is to include a butterfly, fairy or angel on your project. So I punched a shed load of butterflies in different shades of pink glitter paper and stuck them around a circle window cut out using Nestabilities classic circles small.

Then framed the window with some pink bazzill card using small scallopped circles, edged with some pink chalk ink and dotted some stickles on the scallopped frame.

Finished off by stamping sentiment through the window, it was a freebie with a magazine so don't know the make.

It was difficult to get a decent pic of this, it was sunny and camera is not great etc etc, but it looks great in the 'flesh' so to speak!!

Have a great day and thanks for looking.

Sketch Saturday 95

Today I have a card for Sketch Saturday, and a commision for a friend too! Hope she likes it!

I have used a stamp from Wild Rose Studio, coloured with promarkers. I thought I would make another shadow box card as I enjoyed making the last one so much. This time I wanted to make a slightly bigger card to accommodate the larger image.

I've used some purple mirri card, lilac glitter card, WHSmith fabric flowers, stickles and a Martha Stewart border punch. Cut the window out using Nestabilities Labels Three.

I hand cut the label and corner rounded it, then attached with a MM jewelled brad. Sentiment is also from Wild Rose Studio.

The front of the card is made with an embossed lilac card from my local card shop, so not sure who the manufacturer is.

Thanks for looking and have a great day

SA05 Inspiration Challenge

Today I have a card for the Stamping Around Challenge sponsored by Waltzingmouse Stamps. The challenge is inspiration from this beautiful photo set by Anya, one of the WMS DT members.

I used my newly purchased Sewing Box Hugs set from WMS, cut a frame from some K & Co Sparkly Sweet paper, and matted and layered onto some lilac Bazzill and some pink patterned paper from Wild Rose Studio.

Paper pieced the cottage with some pink gingham paper from Craft Creations, and some bits from stash. I liked the sentiment, so thought I would have the little door on a hinge to 'open'.

Coloured some curtains on the windows with promarkers and edged the frame with some blue chalk ink, and the card and label edged with pink. Added some gems as curtain tie backs.

Added some co-ordinating buttons and gems, some punched leaves, and couldn't resist adding a little punched flower on the label.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend,

Pauline xx

Sketch Saturday 94 + WMS St Patricks Day Blog Hop

Hi all, I have a card today for two challenges, one for the Sketch Saturday 94 and the WMS Blog Hop for the 17th March to be hopped from their forum Waltzingmousehouse.

I have stamped an image from Waltzingmouse stamps set called Irish Blessings, and the sentiment is again from Waltzingmouse, set called Celtic Heritage. The house is stamped onto paper from a Papermania stack called Regency, and then mounted onto a pale lemon card from my local craft shop.

Using pale green pearlescent cardstock, I cut an oval frame using Nestabilities Small Classic ovals and then embossed it using the Cuttlebug Birds and Swirls folder. Added some buttons around the cut out frame and some co-ordinating rhinestones.

Cut out an oval from some bronze cardstock, and stamped the sentiment, and added some stamped crosses from another Waltzingmouse set called Faux Fun Circles.

Finished off with some beige thin ribbon on the bottom.

Apologies for the awful pictures, it does look green really lol!

Thanks for looking

Flutterby Wednesday Challenge 100

Hi all, I have been a very bad blogger this week - life has just got in the way! Various childhood ailments to deal with ( the kids not me!), and a super busy weekend has left me catching up with lots of chores this week instead of some lovely card making (sigh)!

I have made a card for the Flutterby Wednesday Challenge 100.

Anyway, here is a lovely Anya stamp from The Greeting Farm that I have coloured with Letraset Promarkers, and matted and layered onto some lilac pearlescent card edged in pink chalk ink. Layered her onto some lilac swirly patterned paper from my local craft shop and the polka dot paper is from Papermania Regency pack edged with a Martha Stewart punch.

The sentiment is from the Earthangel set from Waltzingmouse Stamps. Finished off with some dewdrops from Kars and some fabric flowers held together with a MME flower brad. Edged her wings with Grape Ice stickles, and also the flowers, and traced some gold Stickles around her hair bunches.

Thanks for looking, and have a great day

Stamping Around WMS Challenge SA04; Quixotic Challenge 16

Hi all, well today I have made something very different! Well, for me anyway! I've made a card for the Stamping Around challenge this month which is being sponsored by Waltzingmouse Stamps, and the Quixotic Challenge 16 'Leave it out'. The Stamping Around challenge was a colour one, and I have to admit, they are not colours that I usually play with! Looking for some inspiration, I found a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers by Dawn Griffith which showed how to make a Shadowbox card. Never heard of or seen one before and thought I'd give it a go! My mojo was back before I could say Waltzingmouse, lol!

I used the Say it with Style set for this, and started by stamping the long decorative border to make a background paper onto some pale lemon paper from stash. I adhered this to one of the pieces of white card, which made the base, then cut out an aperture using Spellbinders Labels 1.

Stamped some large and small flowers on pale pink card and some stripy patterned paper, and stamped the quill/leaf stamp onto some mossy bazzill card. I then cut all these out, and snipped where the petals joined each other to curl them up a bit, and titivated them for ages around the window! All the stamping was with Memento London Fog, I love how it gives this card a soft feel.

When I was happy with where the flowers were all going to live, I stuck them down with glue dots. I centered the large flower onto a piece of the yellow stamped paper and green bazzill, then cut to fit inside the card. Layered up the flower with a yellow Kaisercraft flower and a small pink stamped flower and added some cut out leaves. Attached them together with a gold glittered brad.

Attached top of the card, and added some rhinestones and a sentiment edged in pink, and voila!

Sounds a bit convoluted, but was actually a very simple card to do.

I'm a very happy spring bunny, I love the way it turned out :-) And it also fits the bill for the Quixotic challenge, which was to include a leaf motif in your project woo-hoo!!

All stamps used were Say it With Style by Waltzingmouse Stamps. White card base is linen effect bazzill.
