Lace and Popcorn

Hello Ladies! Hope everyone is happy and healthy.....I have been busy with home lately, my husband hired a man to help him remove the popcorn cottage cheese ceilings this past weekend. Talk about a mess! We pulled up all our tile then he sanded the floors so that we could paint the concrete. It is so beautiful when it's finished, I love the look of showroom style floors with the gloss finish. Needless to say I've been trying to keep up with the dust! In the mean time here are a few new items for the shop. I will list the top tonight. I'm working on some beautiful things , can't wait to show you all! If you get a chance the new movie out Friday " NINE" with Daniel Day Lewis , Was Fantastico! I love musical type movies, theatrical. Loved the music too! Winter Whites & My little Vignette

I've been collection vintage knitted and crochet jackets to re-do this one I added ruching in cotton with lace trim and a vintage old gorgeous huge collar and Roses ( of Course). Yo ucan see more pics as I listed it on Etsy today. Its so dreamy and quite a bit of work. The below pics are a sweet little vignette in my dining room, I'm redoing the gorgeous long buffet in the photo , it will go along with my bird and nest theme that I love. WHITE Clouds of ROSES

Just Finished...this is Divine ....and came by accident! I washed some yardage of Cotton Gauze fabric after spilling coffee on it ....the result was this amazing soft billowy , wrinkled ,beautiful fabric! So versatile..... Then of course came the the playing with roses and voila! This piece is DREAMY! Thanks ladies for your sweet comments on the last post, my faithful blogger friends, love, Kim xoxo

Lavender Ice

Hello Dear blogger friends! I just finished a beautiful pair of earrings using old lavender silk and did some bead work on them, they are so beautiful.... My lovely model Micayla...displays the earrings perfect. besides working on our home a bit, I have been getting my sewing room organized , since the show it looked as if a bomb went off! I'll be getting back to my clothing this week and some paintings I have been working on. I hope you all are keeping warm! FLEA MARKET GOODS!

Hi Sweet friends.... I'm out of the sewing room for a little chat and to share some of my Goods with you all before I take them to show! Though I failed terribly with the making of the Gypsy flea market hipsters, I did make a few, they are a bit more time consuming than I predicted, So after the show I will work on them more. How do you like my old dress form, I wanted to do something unique and I think she is very Paris Rags! I have two more to finish before we leave Thursday whew! I made more jewelry pieces, more beautiful brooches with hand beading....I Love making them...so I will leave you for now. My next post will be great pics of our show and some clothing pieces I forgot to photograph before packing. Treasured Jewels & Keepsakes

I've ben wanting to use some of my little treasures brass findings to make some unusual jewelry for the show and Etsy. I loved how they turned out, I ran out of chains and supplies. The little vintage spools with egg were something I have been wanting to make , so I had to try them out. I know it's not spring yet but I'm always in love with blue eggs, nests and birdies. I think they are precious! All of these pretty treasures will be added to the Etsy shop tomorrow. Be sure to pop over to my other blog to see the table results! I'm so happy with it... Getting my Colors On !

Most anyone who knows me, knows I'm affraid of color :) I love muted old vintage colors, whites, blush faded pinks.....I stretched it a little this week with the minty green and the purple but then faded back to the pale colors:) I did a few new jewelry pieces that cam out so pretty... I added all of the items to my Etsy shop today untill we head out to Mount Dora on the 20th of Nov. Thanks for stopping by!! Kimberly xoxox

Tea Stained Goodness

Hi Friends! Here is a lovely bag I finished the other day, experimenting with tea and coffee dye. I love using natural elements for dying fabrics, red cool aide is great as long as you wash it after the soaking process, or else it will bleed when washed again, not a good thing :) I soaked all of the laces and trims in tea but I couldn't get the desired darkness from the tea for the rayon trim so I soaked overnight in super strong coffee, I know they make a rayon ribbon in brown bit I love the aged look. It came out perfect! The cotton lace and crochet just soak up that tea and coffee mixture to a divine vintage aged color, when it dries partially I dab the tea bags here and there on the laces and ribbon trims for a more dramatic look. My Flea market hipsters are about ready, I only wish I had someone to help me sew them all, coming up with all this inventory for the show end of November is grueling for one woman!! New Moon Love

I just had to get on the bandwagon with this theme! Tried my hand on the Dark side! Very spooky yet Romantic, do they go together? I guess millions of Twilight fans think so! have it in my Etsy shop with more pics. Have a happy rest of the week!

Am I crazy? Winter Wonderland Gloves?

I was so inspired to make these beautiful gloves, full of antique lace, MOP buttons , and lace trims on a simply soft winter white fleece. Its not your normal fleece , its thinner and stretchy, great stuff! I love fingerless, they are great for flea markets, store, shopping in general. Thought I'd pass them by you ladies, now tell me the truth should I make a bunch for the show, ( it was cold last year) or are they just too fancy for everyday? My hand isn't the most delicate, nails are so short, I need a hand model :) Let me know what you think! It's been heaven here in Fl with a low of 46 tonight yippeee!!
