Offline workshop with Nikola Koperniku High School in Albania
Summary: Wikimedians of Albanian Language User Group organized an offline Workshop with the students of Nikola Koperniku High School in Albania.
In mid-April, Wikimedians of Albanian Language User Group conducted a two-day workshop on April 13 and 15, 2021 in order to train high school students how to use the translation tools, how to create a new article, how to follow the basic guidelines of starting out a new article and use reference and cite sources. They were very much interested in the translation tools as their desire was to translate different types of articles. The students mentioned that each time they were asked to do their school projects, they struggled to find the right information. Therefore, they always wished to know ways how to translate and how to write articles to help other people, especially students from other schools.
On the first day of the workshop we worked on using translation tools and tried to follow all the translating steps, and then published the articles translated by the students. On the second day of it, we worked on how to work on the citation process and how to use the edit options on Wikipedia.
