Back from McIntosh

"Well, one show down and one more to go". It was a great day, people were out buying, crowds were good. We had perfect weather. Shoppers started coming out at 6:30 with their flashlights.
Samantha and I got to meet Diane from Lavendar Dreams. Diane and hubby were so nice, it was a pleasure get to chat with them. She bought one of the dolls, that Sheila from The Craftaholic painted the faces for me. I only came home with 3 crates of stuff left. Now I am definitely in panic mode, I have my big 3-day show, Thanksgiving weekend, so I know what I will be doing for the next few weeks, non-stop sewing.
The bad news, is I had to start my cancer maintenance chemo therapy last week. Went to the doctors Monday and they wouldn't let me put it off till December, so one day a week for the next 3 weeks, I will be sitting there half the day for chemo. I was so tired and drained after that and the next day. So hoping this week will be better, I have to help Samantha set up for her show at Micanopy on Friday evening, then sit with her on Saturday, Luckily her hubby gets to sit with her on Sunday. I don't think he is looking forward to that, but I need a sewing day.

Here a few pics of my booth. It is hard to get pics at this show, because it is almost dark when we finish setting up, then the shoppers hit early.

We got to meet Vickie Weaver and her friend Sue Hunter also, they were so nice to chat with. It is so nice to meet blogging buddies.

my Mammy's Old grey goose, both found a home with sisters.

These Bear in a stocking were a hit, they are from Carmen's new pattern. Visit her site at

This is a picture of my friend Lee Ann Hinson's booth from Crooked House Primitives. Her booth was almost wiped out by the end of the day.

Here is pic of Lee Ann.

My neighbors, next to me. Hopefully next year they will be right beside me. Always fun to catch up with these ladies.

Another fellow crafter, her booth was great, nice and prim.

  2. what a great show! I know what you mean about panic mode, I'm down to 16 days! I think I spend too much time trying to figure out how to set up my tables, we're not allowed to have anything on the floor in front of the tables to me tabels are a lot harder to set up from booths guess I better worry more about putting something on them! LOL

  4. No wonder you were almost wiped out - your goodies are awesome!! Oh, but they would have shows like that in these parts!! (Ok, maybe not such a good idea - I'd be in big time trouble....Sorry to hear about the chemo maintenance coming right at the wrong time - but grateful it's only "maintenance"??? Take care Sweetie - loved the photos....and nice to get to see Vicky!! ;o) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

  6. Wow Sandy, looks like there were some really neat booths. I'm tired just seeing the few pics of your booth, I can't imagine how you do it all! You've certainly had an exhausting year full of activities.
I'll continue to keep you in my prayers. Stay strong and rest when you can.

  8. The day was beautiful, I had a booth there also and was really hoping to come by your booth because I love your patterns and have bought many :) I was wondering if Lee Ann has a blog? I met her years ago at Hunsaders Fall festival and would love to say hi, she was super sweet and made awesome prims. Well I wish you much strength through the next weeks and will keep you in prayer. ~Blessings~

I wish I could have bought one of everything! I'm keeping you in my prayers, Sandy. I know how hard it is for you to have the treatments. And I know how much you want to just keep going!
