Forgiving yourself for past mistakes

Many of us struggle with our past mistakes, and allow it to cast shadows on our self-esteem. Women especially fear reprise, judgement, and gossip, and live in shame when they needn’t. So how can we change our mindsets, and learn to truly forgive ourselves?

It's important to forgive yourself, no matter how many times it takes. Finding inner peace begins with self-compassion and understanding.

Don't be so tough on yourself about past mistakes, missed opportunities, about trusting the advice of others over your own intuition. Make amends when you can, forgive yourself for not knowing better, and realize that the lessons were needed and had to be learned firsthand. Be tougher on yourself with following through with ideas, your plans, dreams, and goals, and staying committed to making the changes you want to make to better yourself, your life, and your future. #LifeLessons…

Forgive yourself first. Don't become a hostage to your past by always reviewing and reliving your mistakes. Release it and let it go. Move on.
