Some of the ones I have had for awhile were fading or lost their shine. So, instead of throwing them away, I decided to give them a makeover. All you need is a little decoupage and some paper napkins to breathe some new life into these little guys. 🎃🎃🎃 ‌ Aleene’s Premium Decoupage is a water-based sealer, adhesive and finish all in one! My one stop shop for this #DIY. ‌ All you need to do is grab a paper napkin, remove the backing if it has two layers, and cut a slit in the center to place it over the stem. I used scissors to cut some slits, as this makes it easier for the napkin to lay flat and not bunch. I searched Amazon for the paper napkin design I wanted and then got a few different sized crafts pumpkins and mod podge. It was such a fun craft, messy but fun. There are lots of tutorials if you search on Pinterest but you basically just put a layer of the mod podge under the napkin and then cover with a layer. I wasn’t worried about matching patterns or having clean lines. After the main part of the pumpkin was finished I covered the stem in twine.
