Paper basket

Why not weave a small basket?

Material is thin and strong paper (30 centimeter square). Japanese paper is good.
Divide it in twelve.
Paper

Make a long tape with glue.
Tape

Twist the tape. A tape of 30 cm will be 26-27 cm cord.
Twist

Cut off 3 bases. A base is 13 cm. Also the end of the longer cord is a base and a handle.
Cords

Now I change the color of bases to show the process clearer.
Start weaving

Center

The bases don't spread uniformly.
Weave

Weave the side.
Side

Cut the excess of the bases except 2. Glue the ends of the bases to the top line of the basket. Glue both ends of 2 bases. It is a handle.
Cut bases

Wind the handle with the cord.
Make the handle

Wind the edge of the basket with the rest of cord. Glue the end of the cord to inside.
Winding

Diameter is 4.5 centimeters.
Basket

When increasing the bases, it will be strong a little.

Paper basket is rough and weak. It's only an accessory for doll.

If using a ready-made cord, you will make stronger one easily.

Bear box

This bear reliefed box was designed by Kazukiyo Kurosu, a paper craft artist.
I saw it in his book.

The box has openings (lack), but it is something interesting.

Teddy bear box

Cut such paper, then fold and assemble.

Draw eyes and nose with felt-tip pen.
The bear doesn't need glue. But when making the box, use glue.

Origami box 2

Origami box
Hard version of origami box.
This is difficult to fold. The bottom is treble, so it's rather strong.

This method can be applied to polygonal boxes.
If you see books about origami box, you will find various boxes and details of making.

Paper flower

Before I made tissue roses.
And someone wrote "Teach me how to make."

Tissue rose is easy to make.

Cut 16 rectangles of tissue paper.
Roll 2 corners of each sheet.
Tissue paper

Roll a sheet and twist the bottom. The rolled corner is outside.
The first petal

Wrap it softly with another.
Wrap

Repeat.
Tissue rose

Another paper flower, peony.
The paper must be thicker than tissue.

Fold 7-8 sheets of paper like an accordion.
(I used 4 sheets. More is gorgeous.)
Tie its middle with a rubber band.
Spread each sheet.

You may cut the edge zigzag.

If you spray water color, it will be more beautiful.
