One of the reasons for this is the complexity of the process itself. Answering questions such as: what entails an adequate education? and how much is needed to provide adequate education? is complex. Thus, stakeholders in the education sector need a thorough understanding of the concepts and knowledge of the variables that determine an adequate education. In relation to this, this paper seeks to provide an overview of the concepts and critically reviews various methods that are currently utilized to determine the cost of adequate education. It also makes comparisons between the methods and discusses the pros and cons in an objective and integrated manner.

This study, hence, is an attempt to fill a part of this gap. The study examines factors that affect the satisfaction of hotel guests of 1800 hotels in 40 Asian countries based on their online reviews .The data analysis was conducted via both text mining and content analysis of the online reviews posted by reviewers from one particular website-Agoda.com. The content analysis was conducted with the aid of Nvivo 7. This study observes that staff, value, location, food and dining area as well as room and hotel physical attributes are main factors that affect the customers' satisfaction within three to five star hotels. It was further found that mismatches between travelers' initial expectations compared with their actual experience such as online hotel images versus their real conditions, facilities or amenities promised but not received or of poor quality service were major causes of travelers' dissatisfaction. The current study is one of very few studies that canonize customers' satisfaction of three to five star hotels in Asia based on a large number of reviews available online.

Churchill's plays mostly illustrate the oppression of women in patriarchal societies. By illustrating these subjugated and oppressed female characters, Churchill strikes the attention of the audience and make them to criticize the established social and economical norms. The blatant abuse of women in male dominated societies had resulted in a continuous struggle by them throughout history who fought for equal opportunities as they attempted to improve their positions in the society they lived in. In this regard, in researcher's opinion Churchill also illustrates some subverssive characters among these oppresed women that although cannot change the present situation, they defy the conventional norms and challenge for their rights. This study places its crucial lens on portraying these impressive female characters in Churchill's selected plays, Vinegar Tom (1976), Cloud Nine (1979), and Top Girls (1982). It also aims to focus on social construction of gender in the characters of these selected plays.

The study aimed to (1) find out the effects of flipped classroom model towards improving learners' writing achievements and (2) investigate learners' attitudes towards this approach. 40 English-major freshmen at the Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam participated in the study during the second semester of the 2016-2017 academic year. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected to ensure the reliability as well as the validity of the results. Analysis of this data revealed that this model was beneficial as it not only improved learners' performance in the final exam but also brought about positive attitudes towards the learning process. Finally, suggestions on how the model could be improved an...

The purpose of this paper is to understand the difficulties that these students face while conducting their research in a foreign country and in doing so hopes to enhance a greater awareness of the kind of hindrances they face to complete their studies. Design/methodology/approach – The respondents of this qualitative study are PhD students from the Middle East who were studying in a public university in Southeast Asia. This university has recorded an increasing enrollment of international students, particularly from the Middle East in the last few years. Data were collected using a series of unstructured interviews that elicited information on critical incidents that characterized the kind of difficulties students had to face in their research. The data obtained was further analyzed using a qualitative software package – NVivo (QSR International, 10). Findings – Six main themes emerged from the content analysis of the interviews, which are the role of the supervisor, student characteristics, family commitments, financial problems, psychological and research barriers which provide a holistic picture of student perspectives on the factors that affect research progress. While these students might have faced difficulties that might have been cited in existing literature, this paper argues that the respondents have indicated experiencing psychological barriers that were not described in earlier studies, such as the state of mind they were in as a result of being worried for family members due to war or violence in their home countries, drop in currency exchange rates and difficulties in acquiring money due to international sanctions imposed against their countries. Originality/value – This study provides important insights on the factors that affect the progress of PhD students from the Middle East, while at the same time revealing a serious gap in supervisors’ role which can contribute to the delay in the research progress of PhD students.
