Rachel Eggie on Instagram: "Brunette looking to go lighter but low maintence! I’m a brunette covering grays every 6 weeks, and throwing in highlights every 3-6 months. I'm all about that low-maintenance life, aiming for a look that slays as it grows out. Brunettes, you don't need highlights up to the roots for that lighter feel. When you look in the mirror, it's all about the lightness in the face-framing and the beautiful bottom layers. In today's economy, we're all about spending wisely—so I urge you to ASK YOUR STYLIST. Can we do less and still look fabulous? The answer is ALWAYS YES. As one of my favorite stylists loves to say, 'LESS IS MORE". @erin.eggiesalonstudio 😘 Hair done by @aimee.eggiesalonstudio @eggie_salonstudio Gray coverage formula: @wellahair 7.1/6.0 10vol (dependin Highlights Around Face, Face Frame Highlights, Matrix Hair Color, Short Brunette Hair, Grey Hair Coverage, Matrix Hair, Short Hair Highlights, Hair Highlights And Lowlights, Kaley Cuoco Short Hair

Some clients can only make it in once or twice a year, so it’s crucial to give them a color that looks fabulous the entire time between visits. Here’s my go-to technique to ensure their color remains seamless and natural:

🌟 Start with a thick section of hair.
🌟 Split it into two.
🌟 Highlight the underneath section at the ends.
🌟 Highlight the top section closer to the root.

When these sections blend together, it creates highlights that look perfectly grown out, avoiding that dreaded stripey or too-fresh look. This method also ensures the highlights are thin enough to grow out with no harsh lines. 💫 #hairstylist #haireducation #highlights #foilayage | Blake Reed Evans Pro Highlights Growing Out, Highlights That Grow Out Well, Grown Out Highlights To Balayage, T Zone Highlights Hair, Highlights On Top Of Hair Only, T Bar Highlights, Partial Highlights Placement Diagram, Underneath Highlights For Dark Hair, Growing Out Highlights

Emily Chen on Instagram: "I love using this one as a visual when I’m trying to explain this clients. The translucency of a demi allows for such a soft grow out, and the greys suddenly turn into what looks like “highlights”. For her new base, we used Goldwell’s REGULAR Colorance (NOT cover plus) 55ml 6N, 5ml 6A + 60ml 2% lotion (7vol) We did pop in some highlights as well & toned w/ SEQ 8VG, 9VG, 9P, 7P I chose regular colorance over cover plus bc we’re going for zero lift & thus, zero exposed warmth in her base. There is nothing wrong w/cover plus which is mixed w/ 10vol - it offers a bit more coverage, but it will leave a stronger demarcation line than regular + 7vol and also shift the base slightly adding a touch of warmth. #emchenhair #silversisters #saloneducation" How To Cover Grey Hair In Dark Hair, Dark Brown Hair With Gray Highlights, Demi Permanent Hair Color To Cover Grey, Grey Hair Coverage Ideas, Grey Hair Growing Out, Gray Highlights Brown Hair Over 50, Gray Coverage Highlights, Grey Hair Tones, Greyish Blonde Hair

Adrienne Dara Stephenson/ Hair Education & Tutorials on Instagram: "Gray Blending vs Gray Coverage. How do you successfully communicate the difference to your client? How do you help them to understand and visualize? A client may say they want blending without truly understanding what that means. I like to describe it this way: “When you look in the mirror do you want to not see a single gray hair? Or when you look in the mirror do you not mind seeing some gray but having it less visible to the eye?” Lets say they come back and say COVERAGE. “Sounds good! To help manage your expectations of the grow out, when your color grows out you will have a visible line of demarcation and the upkeep will be around every 6-8 weeks.
