The technology has dramatically increased since now with the starting of the first printing press machine made by Johann Gutenberg around 1440. This has assisted many individuals of knowledge and literacy throughout the classes and world. It lead to new ideas and fast information throughout humanity.

The first big invention during the Renaissance was the printing press, invented in 1440 by Johann Gutenberg. Before the printing press, a woodblock system was used for the printing, which was slow and inefficient, especially for an innovative time period like the Renaissance. This new machine used metal allows and molds to print. The printing press allowed for information to spread to a wider audience because it was faster and allowed for mass production.
