Julia • Flying Dutchman Furniture • Furniture Flip Tips & DIY on Instagram: "Want the links to this cheat? Comment “EASY FINISH” below, and I’ll send you everything! POV: You found the easiest way to seal wood—and it’s so easy, it feels like cheating. Say goodbye to endless brush strokes and uneven finishes because wipe-on poly is here to change the game. With this approach, all you need is a rag and a few minutes per coat to get a smooth, professional-grade finish that usually takes hours. Here’s the scoop: for best results, apply a few thin coats, letting each one dry fully before adding the next. I usually stick to three coats and let each layer dry about two hours in between. Pro-tip: a light sanding with fine-grit sandpaper (think around 400 grit) between coats—or right before your

Well this stool is just the answer and you only need one 2x4 to make it! Might as well keep an extra 10 or 20 on hand in case that long lost family decides to show up unannounced this holiday season... #therehablife #woodworkforall #woodworking #wooddesign #easydiy #diyprojects #diyproject #wood #diy #woodfurniture #stool #stools #barstool #barstools #counterstools #kitchenstools"

I keep mine by my front door for slipping on my shoes when I walk Blanca (who now has a Pavlovian response: BENCH=WALK). #therehablife #woodworkforall #woodworking #wooddesign #easydiy #diyprojects #diy #wood #woodfurniture #bench #benches #2x4 #hyggehome #hygge #hyggestyle"
Jessica Faulkenberry | Furniture Flips & DIY on Instagram: "Comment “Oil” for a link! I wish I knew about this earlier because sometimes the stain and polyurethane process can be daunting. With this oil, it cures to a durable finish that’s waterproof! I recommend doing 3-4 coats and I just followed the directions on the back of the can! What I love about this is oil is if you scratch the wood or it dulls over time, you just need to wipe on another coat, let it dry for 8-10 hours, and you’re good to go!"

Once cured we buffed on some Tung oil to rejuvenate and seal the wood. You can also use a varnish or any other oil based top coat! 🎨🧑‍🎨 #furniturerestoration #toolfree #easyflip #easydiy #simplediy #furniturestain #furnitureflip #fliptips"
