This paper presents a new algorithm for clustering a large amount of data. We improved the ant co... more This paper presents a new algorithm for clustering a large amount of data. We improved the ant colony clustering algorithm that uses an ant's swarm intelligence, and tried to overcome the weakness of the classical cluster analysis methods. In our proposed algorithm, improvements in the efficiency of an agent operation were achieved, and a new function "cluster condensation" was added. Our proposed algorithm is a processing method by which a cluster size is reduced by uniting similar objects and incorporating them into the cluster condensation. Compared with classical cluster analysis methods, the number of steps required to complete the clustering can be suppressed to 1% or less by performing this procedure, and the dispersion of the result can also be reduced. Moreover, our clustering algorithm has the advantage of being possible even in a small-field cluster condensation. In addition, the number of objects that exist in the field decreases because the cluster condenses; therefore, it becomes possible to add an object to a space that has become empty. In other words, first, the majority of data is put on standby. They are then clustered, gradually adding parts of the standby data to the clustering data. The method can be adopted for a large amount of data. Numerical experiments confirmed that our proposed algorithm can theoretically applied to an unrestricted volume of data.

The algorithm has a characteristic that the degradation of image quality tends to be perceived as the compression ratio becomes high. The eyesore degradations are false contour and mosquito. A method of improving the image quality is proposed. The ®rst step: a domain of false contours is extracted from the image and the second step: the domain is smoothed by a ®tting process. It is con-®rmed that this method is eective in improving the image quality degraded by the JPEG high compression.

The result of a survey of the above problem shows that the effectiveness of each rehabilitation model depends on background of each patient. According to the aforementioned, the process to choose an effective rehabilitation model for each patient is extremely important. The approach of pattern recognition is to predict the effectiveness of each rehabilitation model. In this paper, the item selection model using the multi-dimensional pattern recognition Mahalanobis-Taguchi system was used. We propose the method of judging which rehabilitation method is suitable for each patient in this paper.

By investigating the transmission power (extent of influence) of information senders in such environments, we can make estimations concerning the discovery of innovators and sales of products. Thus measuring the extent of influence of information propagation is extremely important. In this study, we propose a method to evaluate the influence of information propagation. This is done by taking information on senders who exchange a variety of information on Twitter and Retweet information, creating a network graph between senders to visualize the relationship between senders and followers, and attaching weight to the time and layer at which Retweet takes place. We applied our proposed method to data on information sent about a new smartphone product, and confirmed that our method could measure the influence of information propagation to a certain extent.

It is of course to take necessary action when a point appeared in the outside of the upper control limit or the lower control limit. In evaluating runs, if the run has a length of 7 points, we conclude that there is an abnormality in the process and thus are taken an action when 7 consecutive points lined up on one side only of the central line. We assume that some points on one side only of it have the same weight. However, the good process control is produced by giving heavy weight to the point that is near control limit.

This paper is concerned with the construction of an effective algorithm for finding a global optimal solution (or global optimal solutions) of the constrained nonlinear programming problem. Objective function is assumed to satisfy Lipschitz condition and its Lipschitz constant is utilized in order to bound searching space effectively and terminate searching iteration. We can regard Lipschitz algorithm as the Branch-and-Bound method that is a kind of a divide and conquer method.
