Phyllis Chew
Phyllis G. L. Chew, BA (Hons.), Dip.Ed., Dip App. Ling., MA (TESL), Ph.D has taught Academic Writing , Values and Cultures, Communications, Media Literacy for many years in schools, universities and corporations.
She works as a professor at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University and Adjunct Faulty at SIM univeristy. She is a member of the international advisory board of several international refereed journals and an external postgraduate examiner at several universities.
She is the recipient of several Excellence in Teaching Award as well as a Teacher of the Year Award from the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Tecnological univeristy.
She was the Lee Kong Chian Scholar, National library Board, Singapore, 2010, Visiting Fulbright Professor to Harvard University 2011 and Visiting Leverhulme Trust Professor to Roehampton University 2012
She is a regular guest speaker in international events on topics such as leadership and teamwork, academic writing, global English, values and cultures and personal effectiveness.
