Halloween Mani No. 5: Skittles

Gosh, I love this mani.  It's just so cute.  It's a combination of images picked out by the BF and this is how they turned out.  Using acrylic paints, of course, making a mess all over the kitchen counter, of course... but in the end, pretty cute, no?

I also used some of the Incoco appliques in Spooktacular and let me tell you... at 4 a.m. I got up to potty and the glow was still going strong.  Love it!

Halloween Mani No. 4: Jack Skellington... my version.

This is MY version of The Nightmare Before Christmas nails.... I just had to recreate it.  There are so many nail artists out there with gorgeous work that you can use for inspiration.  This is a movie I can watch over and over again.

I created the look using Orly Liquid Vinyl as the base and the rest is done with small to tiny brushes (from the Michaels artist paint brush section) and acrylic paints.  I buy the Americana multi colored set.  The one with like ten little pots connected with a plastic strip.  That way, you get an assortment of colors and then if you need something specific, make your own shade.  It's super economical that way too.

Hope you guys enjoy it.

Halloween Mani No. 3: Gotta love Zombies...

In honor of the return of my beloved Walking Dead this past Sunday.... I decided to do a little version of a zombie.  I used Dree by Zoya for the green, Pixy Stix by Orly for the pink and Zoya's Jacqueline for actual brain matter.  Konad White and Black for eyes and teeth.  After I was done, I wished I had done the mouth kinda round... like AROUND the brain matter itself instead of just a display of teeth cutting across.  Alas... there's always next year.

Hope you guys have been enjoying your October.

Halloween Mani No. 2: Mummy

I used the lovely and pure delight to apply Jacqueline by Zoya on all my nails except these two.  I started the accent nails with a base of Liquid Vinyl by Orly.  Then I used Jacqueline again to draw on some bandages, followed by Konad White with a striper brush.  I drew on the teeth with a ball point and the eyes are composed of dots of Four Leaf Clover by China Glaze and Glowstick by Orly.  Covered them both with China Glaze's Matte Magic and Voila!  Mummy nails.  :)
