'Tis the Season

My second Christmas card for 2025. The focal image is left-over from my calendar making. It's part of a Darice folder, matted with green metallic and popped up on foam squares. The sentiment is from Echo Park.

"Sweet" Things - Part Two

This is a continuation of yesterday's post. Five more cards that I made with My Favorite Things dies and sentiments. The embossed backgrounds were made with a Darice folder - one of my favorites.

An Everlasting Love

This card uses a die that I got from my friend in March. I think I only have one unused item/set that I received from her. I decided to make three of these cards, like I had told myself to do last year, but have forgotten about! Then I can keep one and give the other two away - to my church and to the thrift store that Cheryl donates to (and volunteers at!)

The die is from Impression Obsession, the sentiment is from The Paper Company and the embossing was done with a folder from Darice. As I think you can tell from the photos, the background cardstocks are metallic and the sentiment is white heat embossed. I also scored the lines with my Scor-Pal.

More Tiny, Die-Cut Flowers

Finally, here is the other die-cut that I made about a month ago! I colored the flowers on this one and added it to a panel that was embossed with a Darice folder and matted. The sentiment is from a Gina K set.

Thank You Flowers

Finally - another card! Life is just too busy, but it's all good! I guess I didn't get the embossing very deep on the bottom of the white panel because it doesn't show very well. But, it's there! I got a new die at the Dollar Tree, so of course I had to try it out right away. I did it once with white on the top of the panel, and once in ivory, but just the thin strip. I colored the ivory one, and you'll see it some day. I scored the lines with my Scor-Buddy. The sentiment is from Avery Elle.

Grandkids' Valentines

I got out all of my valentines things to make some cards, and then I ended up making one sort of special and four extremely basic and the same! Oh well. The grandkids will be fine with them. I did do a little bit more die-cutting so maybe I'll make some anniversary cards out of those pieces.

This first card is for our one granddaughter. The heart was done with a Spellbinders die, backed with glitter paper. That panel is raised on foam squares. The embossing was done with a Darice folder. I added some sparkly enamel dots. The sentiment is from the same Recollections set as I used on the second card.

This one was done with two embossing folders and a stamp from a Recollections set from several years ago. I added three tiny "nailheads." I made four of these for the grandsons.

December Calendar Page

And, the final calendar page for 2023. Oh my! The dry embossing was done with a Darice border embossing folder. It is matted with silver paper. The sentiment is from Hero Arts and is embossed with detail silver powder. Happy December!

Graduation Congrats

Someone at the scrapbooking (stamping for me!) retreat asked me if I could make a graduation card for her. Not having all my supplies here, I did the best I could. Someone had the sticker that I used - I added it to a piece of cardstock and trimmed it down. I die-cut the sentiment out of thick white card and also some silver cardstock and layered them together. I embossed the bottom of the card with a Darice folder, scored a couple lines with my ScorBuddy, and matted the panel with silver. She was pleased enough with it.

Five More Sticker Cards

I've had these stickers for many, many years. I made these simple cards with them. The stickers themselves are white with lines around the edge. The sentiment on this card is from Stampin' Up! I colored the image with Copic markers.
I matted this panel with white and added it to a card base. The sentiment is from Avery Elle.

The embossing was done with a Darice folder.

Sailing Off into the Sunset

My friend, Cheryl, came over on Saturday to play. We had such a great time! She brought over some things for me to use and one of them was the die that cut out this great sailboat. She also cut one for herself and made a card like this with ink-blending behind the die-cut. So pretty! I embossed the background with a cloud folder. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. It's popped up on foam squares. Tomorrow I will share the other three cards that I made with my die-cuts. Thanks, Cheryl!

Two More Sticker Cards

And the last of my K&Co sticker cards. On these two, I also used some left-over squares from previous cards - after using a Papertrey Ink die. On both of them, the squares have ink blended around the edges and are mounted on foam squares. On this first one, I embossed the background with a Darice folder. The stamps are from Gina K.
On this one, I used a technique that I think I invented many years ago. I used my tracing wheel (from sewing and tracing paper - remember that?) on my ScorPal to make the design on the vertical panel. After doing the design, I used a blending brush to lightly add some color, then matted it.

Pink Butterflies

This card was made with all really old supplies. The stamps are both from Stampendous - the sentiment as well as the butterflies with black frame. I stamped the butterflies image on a scrap of the cardstock that I had cleaned my brayer off onto. I colored the butterflies with a Copic marker and added white dots to the wings. I still have two or three other scraps like that that I have matted with black. Maybe I'll make them all into cards like this one. The embossed frame was done with a Darice folder. I trimmed it down after embossing.

'Tis the Season

I'm still using up cards parts and had some for Christmas. The card parts for this card are the gold snowflake piece and the matted sticker. I embossed the background with a Darice folder. The snowflake is mounted on foam squares.

Wishing You Joy

Another Christmas card for today's post. I had this little embossed piece leftover from my December calendar page for next year. I matted it and added it to a card front. The sentiment is from Gina K. The snowman was stamped, die-cut, colored with Copic markers and mounted on foam squares. I think he's from Recollections.

Baby Boy Cards - Part Two

And here are the last three baby cards I made for our neighbor. The shoes on this one are stickers.

I cut out the giraffe for this one and mounted it on foam squares.

Baby Girl

A neighbor asked me if I would make her a baby girl card, so I made her three. Here are two of them. Hopefully I can get the third one posted tomorrow or Saturday. These are just very simple cards. I had only about an hour to make them, but I like them clean and simple anyway! All the stamps are from old Stampin' Up! sets. The backgrounds were embossed with a Darice folder. The coloring was done with Copic markers.

Butterflies

And here is the last of the package of stickers. These came from the same package as the flowers on yesterday's cards. After placing the stickers on this panel, I embossed with an embossing folder - by Darice, I believe. Then I added another sticker - the sentiment.
On this one, I added Washi tape on each side of the panel and added the sentiment - which is also a sticker and was mounted on that strip and in my card parts.

This one is simply the sticker on a matted, purple panel with a stamped sentiment.

More Stickers

Three more stickers used up - one per card. For this first card, I used an embossing folder for the background and added a white panel inside of the square. I added the sticker to this white panel. I stamped the "thanks' and called it done.

For the embossing around this sticker, I used a die. Added the sentiment and again called it done.

I guess this could be a valentine. I found a piece of purple cardstock to place the sticker on and wondered what else I should do with it. I remembered some small embossing folders that I had, so I used one of them, then sanded it down a bit. I matted this panel with black.

Butterfly Hello

Continuing on with my card parts. The olive frame and the die-cut butterfly piece were in my card parts. I embossed a piece of white cardstock with a Darice folder to place behind the frame, and I die-cut the "hello" twice and stacked them. That's it!

Watercolor Hello Friend

And one more card with my hand-drawn flowers. Once again I used my Zig Real Color Brush markers. The sentiment is from Gina K. I used a piece of gingham paper from my stash. I embossed the blue strip with a Darice folder and rubbed some white ink on it. The sentiment/flower panel is mounted on foam squares.
