Wasting Time

We traveled here to Colorado to be campground hosts.
But no campers to greet yet.

Due to extreme flood damage here in the park we are still waiting for
the park to open.  The repair work should begin on Monday.

So in the mean time we have this whole park to ourselves.
So we spend our days Hiking, Lots of hiking...

Exploring near by Cities.

And even doing some Volunteer clean up work.

I am still on the lookout for Fences..
I found this chain link fence with some sort of vine intertwined.
That should do for Good Fences meme..

So you know the saying
The Time you enjoy wasting.
Is not wasted time at all.

I believe it's a great saying.  Don't you?
We are enjoying this journey we are on, and we are loving this wasted time.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

I do hope you enjoy your weekend!

Hugs~

Some Random shots about my week.

I can't seem to get in the groove of doing more than one post
a week.  And to tell you the truth, I don't know if that will change any
time in the near future.  We shall see.  Right now I'm not going to worry about it too much.

I'm just going to enjoying the days my friends.

1.  We got some crazy wind here last weekend.  I have to tell you I don't mind the
rain at all but the wind is kinda scary when your living in a home on wheels.
This RV was a rocking and a rolling all night long.  I got no sleep at all that night.
Well the wind had finally let up and then the the fog came in.  I actually love the fog.
I really love listening to the big ships fog horns blow as they are sailing by.

2.  I had the strangest dream the other night.  I dreamed that I went to the hospital
to get some coffee.  (because isn't that where everyone goes to get coffee).
While I was there, I met Meryl Streep. Yes the Actress, and she wasn't looking too good.
She told me she had emphysema from smoking for too many years.
I felt so bad for her.  But that did stop me from asking her for her autograph.
She seemed pretty happy that I asked her for it and was happy to sign my napkin.
I was pretty bummed when I look down at it and it was all smeared.  Oh Well..
I wonder why we dream what we dream?

3.  I started reading this book that my girlfriend gave me.
A perfect choice for this time in my life.  To tell you the truth I don't mind
the Hot Flashes during the day.  But its the night sweats that get me.  They wake me
up and I can't fall back to sleep.  Oh the Joys of getting old.
So far the book is entertaining and a pretty easy read.

4. Doesn't he looks so sweet and innocent.  Let me tell you he's not so innocent.
This little fella couldn't get the bird seed out of the feeder so
he decided to eat the feeder.  WOW.  He must have been pretty hungry.
So right now I have no bird feeder.  I will be shopping for a new one soon.
I'm thinking this one will be metal... not plastic.

5.  A couple of weeks ago I told you about the new Hummingbird feeder
I had gotten, I finally caught this little guy..  He is much more shy than the
Hummingbirds back in Vegas. I had the hardest time getting a shot of him.
These beauties are call Anna's Hummingbird.
These hardy creatures are the only hummingbird to winter in northern climates.
As long as there are plenty of winter flowers to support them. (Or Feeders).
You know I am going to keep on trying to capture some photos of them.
We shall see if I can get some more photos of these beauties.

That's all I have for now my friends.
I do hope you all have a Happy Weekend.
And thanks so much for all the wonderful comments.
I really do appreciate everyone of them.

Till next time.

Hello...

As I told you on my last post,
we have been without internet for a whole week now.
YIKES
But we are on the move once again and we have
internet once again.  At least for now.
So how does one spend the week being off the grid?

Of course enjoying the great outdoors.
We have been going hiking everyday.  Who knew this life style
would get me in better shape.  Too tell you the truth it's kicking my butt.
But I am sleeping like a baby at night.

I have also finished a couple of projects that I started months ago.
I am the worst at starting something and not finishing it.
This little crochet piece should have only taken hours.
But I stretched it out to months.

The good news is that it is finished now and sitting on my kitchen counter.

It was an easy pattern to follow and if you want a copy of it just let me know.

I used hot glue to attach it to the pot, as per the instructions.

Also I have had a problem with my photos falling off the wall when we
are traveling.  On our last trip the glass broke on one of my frames.
So I decided to put my photos on canvas.  I bought four 4x4 and two 5x7
So far I love the way they have turned out.

I painted the canvases black and then I used Gel Medium to glue the photos
down.  And then covered them with Mod Podge.

I Love the texture the Mod Podge makes on top of the photo.
I only have two finish.  Hoping to get the rest done soon.

I no longer have a hummingbird feeder.
But our Camp host does.  So I caught this little fella just hanging out.
That is my hubbies finger in the photo.  The camp host says they can
get the hummingbirds to sit on there fingers.
We had no such luck.

I am hopping to get around to seeing what everyone has been up to.
So happy to be back on line.

I just couldn't do it...

I went out this week and tried to get my photos for this
week's Scavenger Hunt Sunday, and nothing was working for me.
So sad to say I had to take a pass on this weeks hunt.

I think I got a little bit distracted when I saw this little fella flying around.
I caught quit a few shots of him, But I just love the way this one tuned out.

You know how I love to get shots of Humming birds.

I also got a shot of this guy trying to stay hydrated..
You need to do that here in the desert.  I just love the reflection here..

I also have been busy playing with my Art supplies.

This is the Mixed Media page I did for a brand new challenge
that's going on.  It's a Mixed Media color challenge.
Hosted by Mona and Sue.

The colors this for the challenge are Pink and Grey and Black.
I painted my page grey, and then added some crackle finish to it and then pink
on top. I love the way it turned out.

I also made a tag for a Girlfriend of mine..
It was her Birthday.  I have told you before how I love
to give a handmade bookmark along with a book.  I do hope she likes it.

Lots of pink paint and markers and pencils used up this week. Hee Hee..

On Wednesday we will be taking Big Bertha to
Oregon for a whole week. I am super excited.
You know who I will be visiting?

Saturday, April 27, 2013

Hello sweet Friends.

It seems like forever since I turned my computer on,
Life has been crazy busy for us.  We got all moved into
Big Bertha.  That was a bit tougher than I thought it was going to be.
Trying to fit a 1800 square foot house into a 35ft trailer.
Not an easy task.

The good news is we got it done.
And there was even enough room for my
sewing machine..  YEA...

So I do hope you follow along with us on this new
adventure we are on.  I will be posting lots of photos of the places
we are at.  And of course I will be posting some crafty projects
that I will be working on.

I am hoping to get around to visiting all of you in
the next couple of days.  I have missed seeing you all.
Can't wait to see whats going on in your world.

Hugs~

You Felt it...

Here is a photo of the little hummer that loves to hang out in my Chase tree..
This is where he sits all day long guarding his feeder.
I hope you don't get to tired of seeing photo of this little fella.
He's the only thing worth photographing in my backyard lately.

I just love all the different colors of this little fella.
It's always fun to sit and watch him.

Onto this weeks challenge over at

Ros is our host this week and is asking us to add some felt to our project.
"YOU FELT IT"

So here is a CAS card I made with a pretty little felt flower on it.
I also used some washi tape.  This is one of the first times I have
used washi tape on a card.  I am going to have to use it more often.

I has so much fun with the first card I make another one.
Don't you just love the green polka-dot washi tape I used on this card.

We have a great sponsor this week.
Hop on over to CCCB and get all the details.

Before I go I just wanted to say thanks so much for all your kind comments.
They really did bring my spirits up..   You guys are the best!

I go get my stitches out of my ear today and tomorrow I will get the
stitches out from on top of my head. YEA!

Again thanks for all the wonderful comments.
They mean the world to me!

Hello..

It's been nice and cool here in the mornings.
But still heating up during the day. But this whole week
the weatherman stated that we should be under 100 all week long.
Which make me one happy camper.

I was able to catch this guy hanging out on my
Mexican Bird of Paradise. I was surprised he let me get this close.

Here is a flower that fell off my Mexican Bird of Paradise.
I just love the vivid colors of these flowers.  When they are
in full bloom they are bright orange and so pretty.
I am linking this up with Texture Tuesday.

It's Tuesday, so you know I have a project to share with you.

Ros is our Host this week and is having us put Inchies on our project.

As you can see I made another Christmas card.  I was on
a roll for a little bit but then I fizzled out. :(
Hopefully I can get back on track.

I am pretty sure you know where I got this image.

To get all the details on this challenge you can head on
over to City Crafter Challenge Blog.

So I hope you are enjoying the change in weather
wherever you might be.

Hugs~
