- When applying eyeshadow, apply the lighter color shadow to your entire eyelid as a base. Focus on the inner corner of your eyes with lighter eyeshadows, and darker ones on the outer corner.
- Blend the darker shadow outwards and up.
- Apply false eyelashes. Don't forget to curl lashes first. (Work the curler all the way thru your lashes, not just the base). Focus on putting the false eyelashes on the outer corner of te eyes.
- Apply liquid liner to the top lashline. Avoid the inner area of the eyes and focus the liquid liner more towards the outer edge. You can even wing it out, which looks rather nice on small eyes.
- Apply a 1-2 coats of mascara. Once again, focus applying the mascara on the outer lashes.
- Avoid lining your lower waterline with black eyeliner. Instead opt for a white pencil liner. Or go with a light liner (brown/grey).
- Last but not least, avoid the smokey eye as it tends to make eyes look smaller.

Ways To Make Your Eyes Look Bigger

Review: Chanel Stylo Yeux Eyeliner
I absolutely love black eyeliner; in fact, I wish I could wear it everyday. What's stopping me? Well, by the end of the day I always look like Wednesday from the Adams family with the black liner halfway down my cheeks and underneath my eyes. Not the cutest look.
I pretty much accepted there was no solution to this and just went the more natural route. It wasn't until I was reading InStyle magazine the other day where I saw a little article about Ashley Simpson's favorite things.
Ashley swears by Chanel's waterproof eyeliner pencil, she claims it stays on even during shows where she dancing around stage for hours. I don't exactly do much stage dancing but by the end of a stressful day I still would like to see most of it (only) on my waterline.
This life saver will cost you about $28 though about 3 times the price of most, but hey, if it means not being mistaken for an Adams, I'm willing to shell it out. Plus you won't have to re apply anyway.
UPDATE: The Budget Fashionista actually tested this Chanel one vs. a similar one from Maybeline cosmetics. Read more about which one is best here. According to the site they wouldn't splurge on the Chanel one since Maybeline stays put too and does a good job.. Hmmm.. Interesting to know.

Cover Girl Exact Liner Review
During my usual drugstore run I decided to pick up a new liquid liner which caught my eye.
What it claims:
Hmm...
Easy to hold: Check!
Compact: Check Check!
Fast drying? Uhm.. That was my issue. The liner dried up pretty fast even when it wasn't being used so I couldn't get decent use out of it.
It worked fine the first few times but:
1. I had to keep going over it a few times to get it to actually show up. It's not great if you want a dramatic black line.
2. Due to me having to go over with it so many times, my line looked kind of uneven.
3. It wasn't smudgeproof.
Let's just say I'm on the lookout for a new liner because this ones in the trash.
What it claims:
"Compact, easy to hold high precision liquid eyeliner pen has a smudgeproof, fast-drying formula that glides on to create fine or bold lines without fuss, for looks that last all day."
