World Zombie Day 2014 - London

Image
Hi everyone! Am about a week late in posting about this, better late than never! Last weekend it was World Zombie Day, which meant lots of zombie walks around the world. In London, we had our annual walk in aid of St Mungo's hospital. It was great fun as always! A wonderful photographer called Dave Pearce took this shot of me enjoying a 'hearty' snack (I had props this year!). I just love it!! I met some friends as well, their outfits were great as usual :)  We met at a different location this year but it made for some really good shots. I was super late so I only arrived at the health & safety briefing. There were quite a few zombies and the effort they put into their costumes was amazing. I did get a few shots taken though, happily snacking away...  A theater group even brought zombified animals! Strangely scary clown zombie... Office zombie (feel like this most Monday mornings LOL) This dude was way creepy...Reminded m...

World Zombie Day 2013 - London

***Contains zombie gore makeup pics so please be careful with children reading this*** Hello again! Yes am finally posting stuff again! Not entirely making this for Halloween yet, am so unprepared this year... but unlike last year I was actually in London for the annual zombie walk :) It was fab, the weather stayed dry and was actually comfortable and I met up with a lot of fellow zombies who I pretty much only see at this event. The route was about the same as I remembered, I guess last year's change didn't go very well but I can't really comment on that as I wasn't there (still a little gutted). So we all gathered in Marble Arch... It was a tad busy.... not sure of the numbers but definitely a few hundred...  We all had instructions of course on how to be a zombie for those who didn't know already There were a few photographers ;) The paparazzi is big in London hihi   And we even had Rick Grimes to keep us all in check! Honestly, ...

EFF Arcen 2011 - Professional Pics

Image
Hi all! Like every year, I also had some pics taken by photographers that were walking around the EFF, shooting pretty much anyone willing to pose. I need some practice (dont I always) but of course I was more than happy to pose. Not a lot of people asked in comparison to last year, but we still got a handful of photos :) Better late than never, so enjoy! Photos from Saturday: Photo by Tom Bombadil (sorry I cant find the business card with the actual name!) Love the way the eye thing worked for a change :) Photo by Marga van Belkum Photos from Sunday: Photo by Aartwerk.nl , we had only just arrived and I didnt sit down properly so the skirt didnt show nicely but all in all the pic isnt bad. Very innocent vampire LOL. Photo by Fok.nl, we're actually the first pic on the website! This is my friend Mandy who came dressed as a Naga, we had such funny pics together :) Photo by Zeburaman Love this one, but the hair on the hat annoys me so much... It was the wind and I hadnt noticed... P...

Halloweening - Costumes - Zombie Hair and Makeup Tips

Image
Good morning all! It is Saturday, it is sunny, and I am enjoying a day inside. :) Probably silly as I am not enjoying the last bit of nice weather of 2011 but going to Battle to see the re-enactment of the 1066 Battle of Hastings will take 2 hours and at least £50 and after last week's shopping trip at the Knitting & Stitching show I really shouldnt spend any more money. Plus this way I can prepare all my blogs about Halloween costumes which is great for you guys :) Today, while the memories of LZD are still fresh, I wanted to share my tips on zombie hair and makeup with you. I am by no means an expert but I have learned a few things over the years so it might be helpful. I mean, we cant all be as good as Steve the Zombie ! The below is a photo of my first zombie walk ever in 2008, it was the best ever as well I think but that is probably because the first is usually the newest if you get my drift. For my first time I went as the pre-prom prom queen, complete with curlers and ...

World Zombie Day 2011 - London

***Contains zombie gore makeup pics so please be careful with children reading this*** Hi all! Another part of my wonderful weekend was World Zombie Day 2011 - London. Just like last year, and the 2 years before then, we dressed up as zombies and walked around central London to raise awareness for St Mungo's Children's Hospital and maybe even get some people to make a donation or two. No, we didnt 'collect', we were much more subtle and scary like that LOL. This was another great chance to wear my zombie outfit which just keeps getting better and better. The first year I was zombie pre-prom queen, with a bathrobe and curlers. Very simple (although there is a backstory in the creation of that outfit LOL). The second year I was zombie fairy, much like last month at EFF (without the petticoat) although it was not a hit. Last year I was hippy zombie in the same dress, and this year just elegant zombie (prom, wedding, you name it) in again the same dress as EFF but with diff...
