Moose Jaw, Canada, is a city in south-central Saskatchewan, on the Moose Jaw River. It is located on the Trans-Canada Highway, 77 km (48 mi) west of Regina. Best known as a retirement and tourist city, it is a hub to the hundreds of small towns and farms in the surrounding region. I passed through the place during a Canadian cross country trip in 2006 on my way to Regina. I distinctly remember it because of the strange-sounding name.
