Media has tremendous ability to impact the human minds. It not only influences the people to purchase and use products but also captivates the minds and impacts the cognition. The negative messages and images delivered by media will promote negative assertiveness and the subsequent coverage by media nourishes the already existing negative perception of public and mental health. Hence there is a need to disseminate proper information.Media can be used to bring in changes in the society. The potentialities hidden in the media can be used to create and impart knowledge, develop favourable behaviours and attitudes and to change the blatant behaviours in the society. Media should be utilised in such a way that the only positive aspects of media should be designed and adopted to be the harbingers of the changes in the society. The negative sides of media should be ignored. The media should be used and can reduce the stigma thatched to the mental illness as it is capable of worsening the stigma attached to the mental disorder. It should be acknowledged by all forms of media platforms including the social media and mainstream media adhere to the ethical values of reframing from broadcasting, printing and uploading fake information into the public domain. Mental health professionals play a crucial role in creating awareness among public and educating them over the illness and its present condition.

This approach gives equal importance to the biological factors along with psychological and social factors in the understanding any psychopathology. Earlier, the Biological model was prevalent but now we are fully aware of various Psychological and Social factors which play equally important role in predisposing, precipitating and perpetuating any medical as well as mental illness.
In this book we have published original empirical as well as review papers which were presented by researchers from diverse academic backgrounds and specialties in the 1st International Conference on Biopsychosocial Perspectives of Trauma, 2019 organised by Indian Mental Health & Research Centre at Shia P.G. College.
This book is intended for students in psychology and the more cognitively oriented branches of neuroscience, as well as for readers who are merely curious about what these fields might have to contribute to our understanding of the Trauma. However, we hope that our professional colleagues will also find much to engage with here. So we've done our best to produce a book that holds interest on all levels – for undergraduates, graduates, and researchers alike. We have tried not to presuppose any significant background in any of the sciences that we discuss and we hope that this book will serve as a useful companion for many of those pursuing the interdisciplinary study of Trauma.

Social media has almost eliminated the social and financial barriers that exist in the society. With the growth in the use of social media by politicians, the gap between the politician and citizen has been narrowed down. Social media can be defined as a platform in a network where members can share and discuss the information among them. Social media has become a powerful tool in the political campaigning and almost all political parties are using social media platform to reach out to the public. The study aims to look at the nature and method of new media used by the various national political parties in the 2014 parliamentary elections in India.

They are complex to portray. His grasp on how humans respond coupled with ghosts, murderous villains and many fancy soliloquies continue to find their place in different cultures all around the world. This has inspired various filmmakers to not only find inspiration from his work but also attempt to rejuvenate its artistic soul by touching it with their auteur. This research paper explores the works of Vishal Bhardwaj in his attempt to adapt Shakespeare into Indian cinema. Through studying and objectively analysing his trilogy of films (Maqbool, Omkara and Haider) with a close reference to Shakespeare corresponding plays (Macbeth, Othello and Hamlet) respectively, the paper aims to highlight the nexus between the culture and how human emotions remain consistent despite it. The plot, context and the characters of the film will be analysed and compared with the original text of the plays to bring attention to t...

In egalitarianism set up of governance, political campaigns often refer to voting movements, by which governments are selected or votes are decided. In contemporary political affairs, the most prestigious political drives are concentrated on general elections to elect the candidates for head of state or head of government, often a president, prime minister and chief minister. Campaigns are concerned with directing, reinforcing and activating the opinions of the electorate on the issues that has been raised by the political parties. The success of the campaign is known only after when it fulfills the proposed objective of reaching out to the voters effectively. (Prasad: 404, 2003) The art of political campaigning has undergone drastic changes under the impact of technology. Political campaigning is no longer limited to only persuading...
