Black Friday Sale Picks!!

I hope you all had the Happiest Thanksgiving yesterday. We had a wonderful day and spent it split up between our two families and had double the food, as usual! We have so much to be thankful for.

I wanted to pop in this morning to show you what was on my radar for the Black Friday sales. I am not headed to the mall today, but I love browsing right here behind this computer screen. I actually think the small shops are better and more fun to shop in person at than the big box stores! Anyway, here is my roundup! Starting off, I am loving ALL the things at J.Crew and at 40% off you can't get much better than that! So many pretties for fall. Treat yourself :)

Anthropologie - Take 30% off storewide (cutest salt and pepper set, gorgeous measuring spoons, a pretty cake stand!)

Nordstrom - Extra 20% off sale items (the best leggings in the world, these sneakers, this gorgeous watch is a splurge but such an amazing deal!, adorable slippers, and great jeans!)

Gap - 50% off storewide (bought these plaid pajama pants and haven't stopped wearing them, love this workout top)

Banana Republic - 50% off storewide (love the ruffle details on this sweater, a pretty clip dot blouse)

Tuckernuck - 20% off everything, 25% off over $500, 30% off over $1,000 (this Barbour vest, obsessed with this poncho, own this luggage and love it, asking for these boots)

Wardrobe Classics: Bottoms

bottoms for every occasion

Now y'all didn't think I forgot about this post did you? I know, its a little overdue for my followup to the Wardrobe Classics post- but I had quite a few of you let me know you wanted to still see this! Things just got so crazy with the move that I couldn't focus on fashion, especially when we are living this Indian Summer lifestyle here. #soreadyforfalltemps

This roundup is some of my very favorite tried and true bottoms and a few new skirts mixed in. I used to wear a lot of skirts when I was a corporate workin' lady, but these days not so much. I love, love these two options for skirts. The mini would be darling with a tailored button down and boots. The scuba skirt looks like it should hug in the right places. Sounds comfy too!

I included three of my favorite pairs of jeans, but truth be told I just wanna wear the leggings like every day of the week. They are lifechanging! Locals: we just got them in at Dee Gee's too! But again, you cannot go wrong with paige and DL1961 for denim. Make sure you try the instasculpt in DL because it is the best, flattering fit and sucks you in. For days I want some polish I wear the pixie or the martie pant- nothing beats a classic black pant. Oh, and yes I included my favorite Zella leggings...because some days those most definitely get worn with a pair of boots and oversized sweater and it passes as a real outfit. Well, at least in my eyes it does.

Any good staples I am missing out on?

Currently Loving II

Did everyone have a good holiday weekend? I love the Fourth of July, really, I do. We spent the weekend at the beach house and came home yesterday morning. I am already aching for another afternoon on the beach, but luckily that isn't too far away! We had no crazy plans, unless you count baby feeding schedules and working in toddler naps. Stephen and I ran out for a quick trip downtown to listen to some music and that was the extent of my out of the house activities for the weekend! In true, busy Mom fashion...I forgot to give you this post over the weekend, meant for July 4th sales! Luckily, most stores are still offering incredible deals {some even better now} as we head towards the last half of summer. Here were some of my favorites!

GAP: take 35% off with code style, even sale items! These are my favorite shorts. I just got this workout top- love the tie in the back!

LOFT: 40% off styles... This top, this embroidered dress {extra 40% off} and this off the shoulder tee.

JCREW extra 40-60% off summer styles. THESE wedges, adorable eyelet shorts, a classic striped top in fall colors!

OLD NAVY: Take 30% off your order. This dress is only $12- for real {great for the beach}!  I cant resist a buffalo check tunic

Everyone loved Miss Frances Ann's swimsuit over on insta....it is pretty darn cute!

Weeks was just as cute in his matching rashguard!

Currently Loving I

While I am still getting back in the swing of things I thought I would do a weekly round up of favorites: no particular category- fashion or home, or perhaps even recipe links, beauty favorites, etc. A good and simple, yet efficient way to stay in touch on these busy summer days. Be sure to look for it each week, I'm aiming to have it on Tuesdays or Wednesdays!

Mothers Day Gift Guide

I've always tremendously valued my Mom and celebrating her on Mother's Day, but once you become a Mom, you realize how special it is not only to be a Mother, but to be honored by those that love you. The older I get the more I realize just how much my Mom has done for me and continues to do. Mom's deserve it all, really! Nothing means more than quality time, sweet gestures and genuine love...but these ideas below certainly don't hurt!

mothers day

This pretty andy bracelet is beautiful for any mother at any age. Keep it classic with a pearl stone. It always feels good to have a cute new pair of flip flops. I love these jelly flip flops, and you could add a pedicure gift certificate to go the extra mile. I included two of my favorite perfumes: peony and blush suede and wood sage and sea salt. I wear these year round, sometimes even layered. I love the way Jo Malone scents age throughout the day! It's fun to drink out of a cute mug and I choose this take a bow mug. This lulie wallace candle would be pretty on a bedside table, especially on the coast! These tassel earrings are the perfect amount of fun for a summer night. Y'all know how I am about my robes. Gotta have a good one and this waffle knit robe is the perfect weight for summer! You can't be sweating while you get ready now. For the classic blue and white lover, I love the double happiness pot...add a sweet flower to make it extra special and sweet.

For the record, sweet husband... I will take the robe, earrings and bracelet. Love you, mean it! ;)

Tuesday Deals and Steals

I snagged the smaller size basket below to line Weeks' bookshelves with yesterday. The ones I planned on getting were actually too tall {don't you hate to have to go measure something!}, but I love this look even more. They will be sturdy for toys and smaller books, and you have to love the gold braided edge. Only $9.99! Such a steal!! I also love these as another option, and heavily discounted too.

My favorite flip flops are on sale from last year at a great price! I wore these things everywhere- beach, errands, dinner, traveling, you name it. The foot bed is really comfortable and the nude color goes with everything.

I may or may not know a certain baby that already has this hanging in her closet in this pattern! This one has more sizes so I wanted to highlight it instead. So. CUTE.

Also, the gingham beach tunic I mentioned yesterday is now an additional 30% off, making it even more of a must buy for summer! J.Crew is running their 30% off sale: I'm eyeing this shirt, this beach tunic, and these denim shorts!

New Week Loves

For the first time in quite a while, I am actually enjoying browsing the regular departments of my favorite online retailers, instead of the tiny maternity section they might have to offer. YAY! At this point, I'm not buying anymore maternity clothing- especially as I'm hanging around the house these days. I have a little section in my closet devoted to what I am actually wearing right now, and its plenty to get me through. That being said, looking onward towards summer clothing is especially appealing to me.

Gap is having a 40% off sale and there are really so many cute things. I love, love this top...it would be perfect with skinny jeans and tan block heels!

This top comes in a ton of colors and I love how it can add that sense of polish, pulling an outfit together effortlessly {I am all about that effortless outfit!} If I picked one I would go with white for versatility, but the other colors are SO fun.

This smocked dress is so cute! Another throw on piece when you need something quick to put on for dinner. It also comes in navy and a print as well.

Loft is also running a sale at 30% off {or 40% for card members}. Again, lots of cute tops here that could really add to your easy, breezy summer collection. I love this shade of blue and the simplicity of this blouse.

This blouse is really pretty and feminine. Make sure you check it out up close because the floral design is so sweet.

Mildly obsessed with this quilted tassel blouse! It's perfection.

This gingham beach tunic from J.Crew is calling my name! Nope, don't expect me in a swimsuit this summer. But I will be sporting some cover ups. And this one is so cute, and so different than your everyday coverup! I love that it adds a little prep instead of the basic boho.

Last but not least, on our trip to Asheville I got a long sleeve hoodie in a t-shirt weight from the Vineyard Vines outlet and I have been living in it. I kind of wish I had one in every color. So comfortable and so easy! I found out they make it in a beach coverup too! Which looks so great for late beach days when the sun starts to go down.

Saturday Shopping

I know I have been posting a lot of pregnancy related clothes lately and I don't want to forget about all my other readers. Because, let's face it, non-maternity clothes are so much more fun and I can virtually enjoy all of them! Here are a few things that caught my eye...

You can take 25% off almost everything at J.Crew this weekend with code SHOPNOW I'm mildly obsessed with this buffalo check popover...it is just perfection for me! PS- I have found that popover styles are more preggo-friendly than your regular button up, so it's still a possibility for mommas-to-be.

I could live in a Striped boatneck t-shirt, seriously. I love easy things like this I can put on with a pair of shorts and be done.

Old Navy is offering 30% off your order and free shipping, this lounge/sleep romper is so cute! And... it is only $15. Too cute, too good of a deal.

I'm also pretty impressed by this peplum top {$8!!} for easy summer days. It comes in other colors too. Note: for Mommas-to-be, I tried out these compression crops that I have heard great reviews on, and love them! I got the light grey and they are super comfortable and feel great.

I don't shop at Ann Taylor very often, but these palm shorts are too cute, and 40% off!

So, this tote is so summery and perfect, I just love it! Me and white bags, I cannot get enough. Kate Spade is offering 25% off with code PURPOSE.
So this is probably bad news for my wallet, but I had never checked out Kate Spade layette! I mean, lets just hold our horses. This jillian skirted one piece....the bow? Yes, please.

This ruffle footie is too sweet. I love the little lambs paired with the ruffles!

Hope y'all have a great Saturday!

Favorite Things 2015!

I did a roundup of my favorite things from 2014 and you all loved it, so I thought I would do the same this year. A few of these products I have owned for quite some time now but they are just that good that they made the list!

Cannot get enough of my very favorite robe. It's basically like putting on the coziest blanket and nothing feels better after getting out of the shower. Sometimes on the weekend I have to remind myself to actually get dressed instead of wearing it all day. Oops!

These are new for me, a Christmas present from Stephen.  I think it's always fun to get an item or two at Christmas that will carry you into Spring and not just be for winter. Since our winter has been non-existent so far, they may get to be worn early! I think they will be so cute with cuffed jeans early Spring.

I received this handbag for my birthday and I have lost track on how many compliments I have received on it! I think it has a lot to do with the color. It is so pretty and fresh, compared to so many rich colors that are usually seen in winter. I am thrilled I will be able to take this into the next season. I also have really enjoyed the structure of it and decent size. This time around I wanted something not-too-big because I had gotten into a really bad habit of carrying around a ton of stuff I did not need.

Another little present {in my stocking} from Stephen. I love this handcream, especially for winter when my hands are always dry from the elements or constant hand washing {germaphobe!}.

Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt
I alternate between this Jo Malone and my newest perfume, below. I love them both! It's hard to describe a perfume in my opinion but these both are beautiful!

Prada Candy

A sweet new pair of earrings that will go with so much. I love the neutral stone!

My first Kendra Scott piece, actually. I also got this and am so excited to wear it. Isn't it so pretty?

We are not ashamed of our Netflix addiction and this is what we use for streaming media. I have no complaints except someone needs to get me hooked on a new series! :)

I am a consultant and 100% stand behind these amazing skincare products. It's actually so much of a relief to know that each day I am taking care of my skin and I don't have to browse other skincare, inevitably wasting money on the trial and error. It is simply the best, there are proven results time after time, and the products are actually affordable. I LOVE these products and would be more than happy to assist you as well. You can simply leave1 a message in the comments or email me. I only wish I started using the line sooner than I did!

Would love to hear your very favorites from 2015 as well!

Your Fall Boot Guide!

fall boot guide

My birthday is coming up at the end of next month and I think its time for another investment in a quality pair of boots. I am partial to a cognac color, for some reason I am much more likely to reach for that warm, rich tone over black. But, I did throw a few black pairs in for the days you need your feet to be warm and match up with your black attire. What would be your favorite? I already own the Melissa Button {three years going strong} and the Lucinda short bootie, so I'm looking to fill the gaps in between. While I love the Melissa button boot, they are seeming a little more casual with their wear over time. Would love you to weigh in :)

Sale Review - My Picks

Since the Nordstrom sale is wrapping up, I figured I would do a review on what I purchased {and what I think I might be ordering shortly!}

This was my first pair of Onzie leggings and I can't stop wearing them. The fabric is almost like a swimsuit material and is supposed to be great for when you sweat during a workout. Love these and their fun colors, and I really don't mind paying $36 for a good quality pair. Here is a similar pair of tennis shoes- I'm an Asics convert.

My Mom got me this pullover and I didn't waste any time wearing it around the house even though its a heatwave right outside my door. I will live in this thing this winter and I might order another color! {Sorry for the bad lighting}

I bought this bag for a cheapy way to carry around Weeks' stuff when we are out to dinner, etc and not have to worry about food/spills/drinks etc. Looks really nice for a cheap pricetag!

I mentioned this body set (currently sold out but here is the body wash) and it is truly delightful and an insane deal! I bought the body wash last year and loved the delicious scent while showering. This set came with a shave cream which is so much better than your drugstore brand, I promise you! The body cream is amazing as well. So worth it. If you broke down the cost of these it isn't too far off what I would have payed per item for the nicer drugstore brands.

I bought these boots but they hit me in a weird place on my leg so I sadly returned them. I thought I either needed to be a little taller or a littler shorter! Still in love with the style though.

As I've mentioned before, I am obsessed with these Zella leggings. These are the capris I'm wearing in this pic at the Greenbrier after a long trail {excuse the rugged appearance!} And I did get another pair of the full length leggings too- they are too good of a deal and you will be wearing them all fall and winter!

Normally, I do not shop all at once this much but as everyone knows- these prices go up after the weekend and it is the one time of year I really "stock up" on things I can't buy here in town {always shop local first!}

Now decision time...which booties....these or these? I'm thinking the wedge. A lot of the sweaters are almost sold out from this post, I should've taken advantage of those sooner!

The Sale is Public...

I gathered up some of my favorites from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale from last week and added in some others that have caught my eye over the past week. If you don't buy anything else, indulge in in that amazing whish body set or the leggings...you will not regret it! See below for the rest of my finds!

accessories NORDSTROM

Right now I am looking for great deals for transitioning my wardrobe over to fall. Think light sweaters, jackets and booties you can wear with dresses!

A few other things worth mentioning....
This drum basket is perfect for corralling toys, blankets, extra throw pillows. Love the design! If you are in the market for pretty bath towels, I love this jacquard bath towel and hand towel set. So cute and the blue is beautiful! This sierra rug is so fun, I think it would be great for a back door entry, hiding lots of dirt! ;) And last but not least, these are my two favorite handbags from the sale: plaque tote and the take your marc hobo----the color is divine.

What are your picks? I am really having a hard time narrowing down what I will buy without going overboard!

Beach and Summer Ready!

Summer Ready
zig zag cover up / festival tassel drops / black and white tote / flat studded thong / tassel straw tote / aleah sandal / hoodie cover up / round keyhole sunglasses

It's officially beach season and I rounded up a few favorites that just scream summer to me. Cute, functional and breezy cover ups, here and here, are a must for me these days when I'm looking after Weeks. I think that beach tote is very Mara Hoffman-ish, minus the price, and that is a win-win for me. Can't forget bright tassel earrings, easy sunnies and cute sandals to complete the look.

What has been your favorite beach/summer find so far? Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Nordstrom Sale Picks!

Sorry for the back to back shopping posts, but as you probably know, the Nordstrom half yearly sale just started and as usual there are great deals to be had! I know I've mentioned it before, but I view these sales as a great opportunity to purchase a higher ticket item or investment piece at a great price. I rounded up a few of my personal favorites below. What do you have your eye on?

SANDALS
I have these in a similar version from several years ago and still love them!

A classic, tan sandal that would be a staple in your summer to fall wardrobe.

You can't go wrong with Tory on this price. Gold is my choice for metallic sandals, always.

HANDBAGS

I am loving this soft color that reads as a neutral. It is beautiful, right?

You absolutely cannot  go wrong with the fun scallop design on this tote. I could carry all of my belongings in this one, and add Weeks' stuff in there too!

Another smaller option in this beautiful color. I might be a new fan to the crossbody, hands-free style!

DENIM AND CLOTHING

Ok, the most flattering denim award clearly goes to this pair! I'm obsessed. If you haven't tried DL1961 you need to now.

Another great skinny pair by DL 1961...love.

Is this not such a fun maxi? I love that it isn't skimpy and you could wear it so many places.
Love the price too.

This would be a beautiful dress for a special wedding or shower! I love the vibrant green against the pink.

Zella is my favorite workout wear and I love this tank. I always stock up on Zella at Nordstrom sales!

Adore this black sweatshirt...make sure you check out the back detail. Zella does such a great job making workout wear affordable and cute.

Can't wait to hear your picks!!
