S. Zhukovsky, painter - Joint issue of Russia and Belarus.

A Souvenir sheet was issued by Russia Post on the painter S. Zhukovsky (1873–1944) as joint issue of Russia and Belarus on 13th May 2023 depicting his painting The Abandoned Terrace (1911) and his portrait.

Contemporary Art of Russia

Russia Post issued a set of 4 stamp on the Contemporary Art of Russia series on 28th February 2023 depicting the following:paintings In the Fishery by G. Yefimochkin (2009), Panacea I by O. Ignatov (2014), Kimzha. Hope by N. Zheltushko (2021) and monument For the Heroes of ALSIB by A. Kovalchuk and X. Kuz’minykh (2020).


The Contemporary Art of Russia series of postage stamps presents the artwork of modern authors who convey the atmosphere of new Russia, its identity and dynamism, demonstrates the techniques and approaches to creating paintings and sculptural compositions that are peculiar to our times.

Russia Post released a miniature sheet to celebrate 100th Birth Anniversary of Boris S. Ugarov (1922-1991), painter, the President of the Academy of Arts of the USSR on 7th February 2022 depicting portrait of B. Ugarov against the background of the studio with his artworks; the stamp features his painting October (1964, State Museum of Political History of Russia).

Russia Post released a set of 4 stamps on 5th July 2021 on the contemporary Arts of Russia depicting monument by E. A. Antonov dedicated to the liquidators of the Chernobyl disaster (2006, Tver), painting by A. I. Dubov "Volga expanses" (2003), painting by E. N. Maksimov "Izborsk" (2016) and R. S. Khabirov's painting "Chak-chak" (2013)

A. P. Ostroumova-Lebedeva

Russia Post released a souvenir sheet to celebrate 150 years since the birth of A. P. Ostroumova-Lebedeva (1871-1955), painter on 29th June 2022 depicting "Interior with a dog" (1917, GRM) and K. Somov "Portrait of A. P. Ostroumova" (1901, GRM), on the stamp, a picture of A. Ostroumova-Lebedeva "View from the Academy of Arts to the Admiralty" (1921, the State Museum of K. A. Fedin).

Fedoskinskaya lacquer miniature

Russia Post issued a set of 4 stamps on the Fedoskinskaya lacquer miniature on 17th March 2021. Fedoskino miniature lacquer painting is folk artistic craft, a kind of traditional Russian miniature lacquer painting with oil paints on papier-mâché that took shape at the end of the 18th century in village of Fedoskino located near Moscow.


The postal stamps provide images of boxes from the collection of the Moscow Regional Museum of Folk Art Crafts:  Ruslan and Lyudmila (1971) by M.S. Chizhov; The Firebird (1959) by S.V. Monashov; Ivan da Marya (1989) by Yu.V. Dotsenko and Tea Party (1946) by V.I. Lavrov;

75th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War - Contemporary Art of Russia

Russia Post released a set of 4 stamp on 26th May 2020 on the contemporary Art of Russia to celebrate 75th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The stamps depict the following paintings:

To the Frontline (2005), by V.I. Makeev (State Museum of Defense of Noscow); The Burnt Earth (1957), by B.M. Nemenskyi (State Tretyakov Gallery); In the Days of the War (2012), by S.P. Tkachev and monument Unnumbered Hill (1968) in the Leningrad Region, by G.D. Yastrebenetskyi, V.G. Kozenyuk, and E.N.  Rotanov.

Russia Post released a set of 2 stamp on 15th May 2020 to celebrate 150th birth anniversary of Alexander Nikolaevich Benois (1870–1960), a Russian painter, depicting his Portrait by L.S. Bakst (1898, State Russian Museum ) and Military Parade of Emperor Paul I (1907, State Russian Museum) by A. N. Benois.

Russia Post released a souvenir sheet of Artist Arkady A. Plastov on 31st January 2020 depicting a Self-portrait at Sunset (1969–1971) against the painter’s studio and an image of the logotype of the Russian Academy of Arts, and the stamp presents a fragment of the Midday (1961) painting.

 Russia Post released a stamp on Ilya Efimovich Repin, Russia Painter and Professor on 29th May 2019 depicting Repin “The ceremonial meeting of the State Council on May 7, 1901, the day of the centenary of its establishment” (1901–1903, State Russian Museum); and  I.E. Repin (1887, State Tretyakov Gallery) against the background of the interior of the I.E. Repin "Penates" and the logo of the Russian Academy of Arts.

Russia Post released a stamp to celebrate 175 years since the birth of Vasily Dmitrievich Polenov, a Russian artist on 29th May 2019.

The postage stamp depicts a painting by V.D. Polenova "Overgrown Pond" (1879, State Tretyakov Gallery), outside is the portrait of V.D. Polenova work I.E. Repin (1877, State Tretyakov Gallery) against the background of the interior of the State Memorial Historical, Art and Natural Museum-Reserve of V.D. Polenova and the logo of the Russian Academy of Arts.

Children's Day - 2015

India Post issued two commemorative stamps and a miniature sheet to mark Children's day on 14th November 2015. 

The designs on the stamps and miniature sheet are based on the prize-winning entries of Stamp Design Competetion. Yamini K.,Student of St. Joseph Secondary School, Thalassery. Kimaya Gupta and Rohit Gupta have been selected for two stamps and miniature sheet. Designs of V. Hemchandran and Binita Vishwajita have been selected for First Day Cover and Brochure respectively.

Yamini.K, daughter of Sujan.P.K. and Roopashree K is a student of XI (Plus I ) at St. Joseph’s ,Thalassery,  Kannur, Kerala. Yamini is interested in painting, Writing poems and short stories in periodicals and Carnatic Music.

She has won several prize and awards in Painting at state and National levels. To name a few, First Prize in State level Poster designing contest conducted by Kerala State Bio-diversity Board in 2013, First Prize in Oil Painting  - Kerala School Kalolsavam 2015, First Prize in the State level Painting Competition conducted by Lalitha Kala Academy in 2015, ‘Kala Darppan’ Award by Akhil Bharathiya Nagarik Vikas Kendra, Aurangabad, First Prize & Gold Medal in the P.R.Kurup Smaraka State Level Painting and many more.
