are we sure this is a Belgian human and not a business or organization of some kind, like Contre Jour ?

Hello
This is an important message regarding this page.
This page uses Structured Discussions/Flow, an obsolete tool that causes many maintenance problems. It has been decided to remove this tool from the wikis.
As of December 16, it will no longer be possible to add a new topic or post a message on this page.
Before this date, you can move or have this page moved to a subpage, in order to archive it. Once moved, this page will become a standard discussion page.
If you get this message on your personal talk page, it is probably because you turned Structured Discussions on, using the Beta features page. Please check there if you can to turn Structured Discussions off.
If you haven't moved this page by December 16, a script will automatically move the page to an archive page (the format will be Page name/Flow
). The page using Structured Discussions/Flow will then be made read-only.
If you have any questions, please let me know!
Hanno zou jij even hiernaar kunnen kijken?
Bartolomé Esteban Murillo (Q109940023) is the result of a museum database artefact, there is no "Bartolomé Esteban Murillo" floruit 1813 and the item should be deleted. Just asking you to confirm. Thanks in advance!
yes, it is Bartolomo Esteban Murillo https://www.collectiegelderland.nl/paleishetloo/object/caea2ae9-a6d3-6160-b568-83f1d163eeb8 and 1813 was the copy. I removed the floruit
With this edit you have added a reference to https://www.boijmans.nl/en/collection/artists/14208 for the date of death "6 June 1677". But the day and month do not seem to be supported by the source. I will remove the reference for now. But does this issue appear for other items as well? Could you have a look? Thanks in advance!
Hm, checked and in openrefine it was a year only. Probably a good idea that I create a page for Boijmans to check artists with multiple birth dates as I have done her Wikidata:CopyClear/NADD/monitor/dubbele geboortedata
So this might be a bug in the matching by OpenRefine?
Not sure, probably a fuzzy merging setting, but I can't find this as the dates were not in the scheme anymore. Anyway, I created a page with double birth dates for Boijmans. Monitoring: Wikidata:CopyClear/NADD/Boijmans/dubbele geboortedata en Wikidata:CopyClear/NADD/Boijmans/dubbele overlijdensdata
I guess this is less about double dates and more about the precision. Does Boijmans provide any dates more precise than a year? If not removing all Boijmans references from more precise dates could fix the problem.
They provide both. I don't think this is a huge problem as I don't see other mistakes, I do see several mistakes from some Belgium museums. As I don't see those wrong years in the source I delete them.
I've just stumbled upon another case. Could you have another look to remove those wrong references? Thank you!
Hi!
Some time ago, you created Rütimeyer (Q86819706). I came by it by coincidence today. It has very little data—just a last name and that's it. Is there a chance to add some more info there?
I checked and there is not that much information but based on the information about African masks I assumed this is Leopold Rütimeyer and merged the items.
Thanks!
PS: I just saw that you speak Dutch. Sorry for writing in German.
Hi Kolja21, I have added the GND identifiers for 1500 persons with this batch https://iw.toolforge.org/quickstatements/#.2Fbatch.2F213789 About circa, I will have a look, I'm not sure if I can do that easily.
Great work! I checked a few and the entries are all ok.
Hallo Hannolans, I've just found one of the few import error (Q27044511: done). Today there are about 450 items with MMLO ID (P6240) missing an authorty file (GND), see https://w.wiki/B3MR. Can you take these items into account when you next use QuickStatements?
An {{Q|43229}} is not necessarily a {{Q|16334295}}. Consider the United Nations, which is an organization and not a group of humans. So I am again going to remove this subclass link in the near future.
The UN is an organisation with many humans employed, so a group of humans.
How so? If the UN is a group of humans then each of these humans is an instance of the UN, which you might (but might not) think of a member of the UN. But no human meets this criterion. If the UN has instances then these are the member states of the UN - so the UN is in no reasonable way a group of humans. Just because some item is an employee of some organization doesn't make them a member of that organization, let alone an instance of that organization.
Consider even an organization that might be thought of as having humans as instances - for example some sort of social club. The employees of that organization are not necessarily members of the organization, and definitely not necessarily instances of the organization.
States are the members of the UN, but humans are employees of the UN. They meet, they eat, they create works together like books and reports.
But the humans are definitely not instances of the United Nations, so the UN should not be a subclass of group of humans. Neither are the employees or directors or shareholders instances of a company, so again not a subclass of group of humans.
It depends if you see organisations as an organised team of humans that work together for a certain goal, for example the goals of the United Nations, or if you see organisations as a legal concept.
Hi Hannolans, I've just picked up an old error of yours, in Susan Close (Q7647681), the South Australian politician - you added Canadian citizenship as you have confused her with a Canadian academic, photographer and write with the same first and last names - see https://www.susanclose.com/about. These are two different people. I've removed the false info from Susan Close (Q7647681), but as I'm unfamiliar with Wikidata I'll leave you to chase up the other person's entry, if it exists.
Cheers, Bahudhara
thanks! I created Q127599278
Hey Hanno Hans,
does OpenRefine allow for additional parsers? The artist's webpage at V2 is usually behind More: (CSS selector: #parent-fieldname-text > p:nth-child(3)).
Greetings
Hi I don't understand exactly what you mean?
I've went through your import of V2 archive (Q125729237). It could be enriched with more information which is behind some CSS selectors.
What kind of information?
The artist's webpage.
Ah, yes that might be useful
