See you next year!

Hello everyone! Hope you've been enjoying your
Holiday celebrations! The New Year is almost here
with new resolutions to keep. I can't believe 2010 is
just around the corner. I wanted to *T*H*A*N*K* *Y*O*U*
all so much for supporting me with my creative journey!
I really appreciate all the response and love you have
kindly given me. 2009 has flown by so fast and your
creative friendships have made the year so much more
special! Thank you!

My #1 Kindred Cutie, Paulette aka Beedeebabee of http://beedeebabee.blogspot.com/ surprised me with these heartwarming treats for
Christmas! Santa/Paulette sent me over a big tin box
full of delicious chocolate cookies! Super Yummy! And I
don't know how she knew I've been wanting one, but she
also gave me a fabulous journal hand crafted by the
talented artist Lori of http://elviestudio.blogspot.com/.
I guess Santa always knows what you want. I can't
wait to use it! :) And I also received a magical one
of a kind ornament with Paulette's adorable hand stitched
bunny on it. I've been admiring her signature bunnies for
awhile now. The ornament detail is amazing! Delicately
embellished and stitched to perfection! SOOOO Adorable!
I love all my goodies, Paulette! You are just the sweetest
ever! Thanks so so so much!

Here's a slideshow of my sweet
treats from Paulette and my little Santa Pup aka Paris too!

Thank you so much again Paulette! I feel
I can't thank you enough! I will treasure your gifts always!
Big Kindred HUGS!!!

Special thanks also to Jodi of http://www.thecreativejar.com for featuring me on her wonderful blog!

Wishing everyone a Magical New Year's Celebration!
See you all in 2010! The start of a new year for so
many new creative adventures! Yippee! :)

Happy Holidays!

I always smile with happy thoughts
when I begin to reminisce on childhood favorites
during Christmastime.

A time for decorating the Christmas
tree. A time for yummy candy canes and cookies.

A time for watching all the Christmas
themed movies and cartoons. A time when you can't help
singing the songs "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" and
"Santa Claus is Coming to Town".

A time to visit Santa at the mall.
A time to wear your new Christmas party dress. A time to
view all the streets of houses decorated with bright
colorful lights.

A time for hot chocolate next to
the fireplace. A time to celebrate together.

A time for giving.

Happy Holidays! :)

Art Journal Entry

The world she knows is half unseen.

The purple skies make her feel the opposite of blue.

Her window is now wide open.

The direction she seeks is right before her.

The dream becomes reality.

The journey of endless possibilities await.

Happy Birthday Paulette!!!

Today is my Kindred Sweetie's special day! Happy Birthday Paulette! Wishing you a fabulous day filled with joy and yummy treats! Paulette aka Beedeebabee of http://beedeebabee.blogspot.com/ and I met in 2007 while we were both selling crazy quilt goodies on ebay. Our lovely communication on ebay began the wonderful relationship we now have today. She instantly became my #1 Kindred Spirit to ever meet here in cyberspace. Thanks for being you, Paulette!

Also, she has recently been nominated on Etsy for her fabulous heart pin above. Yay Paulette! Her amazing works are always sweetly embellished and full of spectacular detail. Just click on the green "GO VOTE" button on Etsy and support my kindred sister stitcher here.

The "Make a Wish" Crazy Quilt pillow is my birthday present to her. The friendship and artistic creativity she continuously shares with me is a gift I will treasure always.

Paulette's ongoing talents still always amazes me and she shines her contagious inspiration in everything she does. You can visit her blog and see her magical imagination at work here. You won't be disappointed.

Happy Happy Birthday Paulette!

Big Kindred Hugs,
Lisa :)

New Stitched Goodies

Here are the latest hand stitched goodies I've been working on. I've created an art doll with lots of embroidery and a variety of ornies using altered fabric prints of my original paintings. You can find more on these stitched goodies now on etsy.

It's been awhile since I've shared a slideshow, so below are the photos of my creations. Enjoy!

This is the time of year when I enjoy stitching the most and I try to keep up with my creative to do list as much as possible. Time goes by so fast and it can be difficult to keep up, especially when you get inspired with new ideas out of nowhere. Sending you all *C*R*E*A*T*I*V*E* *V*I*B*E*S*! :)

Bitten

Over a year ago now, I was bitten by the Twilight Saga. I had read the books only after watching "Twilight" in the theater. I became instantly captured by the love story written by Stephenie Meyer.

I absolutely fell in love with Edward and Bella's story. The hubby surely knew this as well and he surprised me with a couple of the audiobooks last Christmas. Listening to the books this way made their story even more special for me. I sketched Edward on canvas around the same time last year and decided to paint him up just last night in honor of the movie "New Moon" coming out today. I made sure to paint him while I listened to "New Moon" on audiobook to help inspire me even more. You can tell from the photo above that I initially had other plans for how his hair should be.

As for now, Edward is still a work in progress. I also still plan to paint Bella as soon as possible too. You can tell from the photo below that Edward yearns for Bella to complete him as well.

Have a wonderful weekend! :)

Magical Gifts

Hello everyone! Thanks so much for all the touching comments on our 3rd Collaboration painting! We really appreciate it! :D

I wanted to share my Halloween swap card I sent out to Becky of www.beckyshander.com. My swap was an ATC (Artist Trading Card), which is 2.5" X 3.5". I'm so glad she liked it. :)

I had so much fun creating this for Becky! It was completely hand stitched and created using fabric, felt, glitter, a crocheted flower, brads & acrylic paints.

Also, Thank You sweet Sanda of http://cardsanddreams.blogspot.com/ for passing the Kreativ Blogger Award! Sanda is a fabulous artist and also a member of my art journaling group. Sanda creates lovely handmade cards, collages, beautiful paintings and so much more. Please visit her site when you get a chance. Thanks again Sanda!

Alice Lisa

Happy November! Hope you all had a great Halloween! I think I devoured ate too much chocolate, if that's even possible.

Last month I shared one of my submissions for Somerset Studio The Art of Paper and Mixed Media here. This happens to be not only another submission, but also the third collaboration with the hubby, Marc!

Just in case you didn't know, the submission request was for an "Alice in Wonderland Theme" due out in the March/April 2010 issue. And since the much anticipated movie from Tim Burton is also coming out, they asked us to "feel free to interpret Alice through Tim Burton's eyes".

And to finish off our third collaboration idea, we were surely inspired as well by Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa aka La Gioconda, hence was created...
"Alice Lisa".

Thanks again for all your touching support & comments! We really appreciate it! And if you haven't already, the poll for our next collaboration is still on my sidebar.

Creative Blessings,
Marc & Lisa :)

Happy Halloween!

On This Magic Night So True,

Light A Candle, Maybe Two,

Yummy Goodies We All Yearn,

Waiting Now For Just Our Turn,

Costume Fitting Will Be Just Right,

All The Kiddies May Have A Fright,

A Witch's Laugh You Just Might Hear,

The Beady Eyes Might Make You Fear,

The Night Will Come, The Day is Long,

Now As I Wait, I'll Sing This Song!

Have a Safe and Happy Halloween! :)
