Hello fellow Crafters!!
Shabby Chic on my blog post today...ohhh how I love this style! A Prima album made to alter in thick chipboard. I used a lot of gesso and acrylicpaint through out my album and made journaling tags with a stamp from Tim Holtz set...stamped with Coffee archival ink. The cover of the album is painted with gesso and acrylicpaint and then the letters are colored with distress ink and I added some stickles and painted a swirl with Vintage Photo( with a paintbrush).
Here is the semi finished album..still it needs a little more TLC before I´m totally satisfied...more tags , flowers and pictures, but Ihope you enjoy the start of it!
First page then, I only used papers from Tim Holtz "Shabby vintage" paperstack and this page is decorated with lace, a butterflie and a journaling tag from Prima the alphabet is also Prima. I put a little splash of gesso on the flower just to give it more of a Shabby feel! Near the spine of the albun on the lefthand side I put the wrapping of the album as a decoration and painted over the Prima wrighting with gesso and distressed the edges with Vintage Photo.
Second page. More lace and butterflies!! Behind the blingi-lace there is a pocket that is going to hold decorated tags with pictures on them! Through out the albun I put top and side mounted pockets to fit journaling tags.
Third page. Lace ...of corse, a flower with alcohol ink colored edges. I used Raisin alcohol ink and it works like a charm ..if you are careful! Once again Vintage Photo painted swirls.
Fourth page. A simple one with a fresh colored flower and a bling swirl!
Prima journaling stickers #536671
More lovelly Prima flowers and a silvery butterflie in metal, the plastic lage is something I recovered from one of the Prima-pacages( think it helled flowers) and the plan is to fit a photograph underneith....that way you can actually see the whole picture even thougt it´s tucked under!
This flower I made from a coca-cola tincan...my dear Tattered Foral bigiz-die and my cuttlebug helped me! I dyed it with stonewashed alcohol ink and on one of the layers I used acrylicpaint...finished it of with a glittery brad from Reprint. The petals are kurled with a small wodden stick you use to put your meat on when you barbeque!! Anything goes ...right?!
Close up on my aluminiun flower!
In this picture you can se the difference in the middle flower colored with acrylicpaint compared to the others colored with alcohol ink. You also see the horn wich is made in a melting pot...given to me by my dear colegue Mim, not the melting pot, the horn!!! Giggles!!! She also gave me the key shown a bit further down this post! Thank a bunch Mim.. need a favour just say when!!!
The key people.......is it pretty or what???
I decorated this page with blue roses, lace and a cute little angel.
On to the back of my album! Gesso, acrylicpaint, a felt swirl and a flower masked with Tattered Angel Glimmermist(Dragonfly). There you have it peps!!! I really hope you like this and as I said before it is only the begining..still needs a little bit more attention!
Some closeups fore you!
