Iacobus Prinsep (natus die 20 Augusti 1799; mortuus die 22 Aprilis 1840), filius mercatoris et rerum politicarum periti Iohannis Prinsep, fuit orientalista et eruditus antiquitatum et nummorum Indicorum, primus interpres inscriptionum imperatoris Asoki, secretarius Societatis Asiaticae in urbe Calcutta constitutae, et monetarius in eadem urbe.
