My interests are in Phenomenology, cognition and the role of metaphor within philosophy. I don't subscribe to the view that metaphor is merely rhetorical. It can have an important position within philosophical arguments, and I am interested in exploring the extent to which it lies within philosophical arguments.
Within Phenomenology I am interested in the relationship between empirical sciences and phenomenology, with particular interest in their intersection within the philosophy of mind. This relates to the wider question of the relationship between transcendental arguments and science.
