it's a joy to be part of the fun...

Do yo know how hard it is to type with only 9 fingers???
I tried to slice my knuckle off this morning
with a brand new rotary cutter blade...ouch...
the blood would not stop, so we went to the emergency nurse at our clinic...
no stitches, 'cuz they wouldn't work on a knuckle too well...
so just all wrapped up with a splint...
lovely...and I have a lot to do...anyway...

Took this shot on one of our morning walks...(the house looks like a hoarder lives there)but the yard is fun...just love the tiny hint of pink...

Well, we're off to see, 'Hanover II'...so I can stop thinking about my throbbing finger...'til next time, this is me... keeping away from rotary cutters...=)

I thought these were pretty appropriate, since I've been thinking of several friends and my step-daughter who are survivors... and fierce women to boot.

I think about the Breast Cancer Awareness fight every time I get ready to post something for PINK Saturday...so decided to show my support. Be sure to stop by Bev's blog and see all the wonderful...PINK things.

There are lots and lots of strong and fierce ladies out there that have conquered Breast Cancer... and I wish each and every one of them...only the best.

Me and Sunflowers

Sunflowers just seem to call my name!

I'm not sure what I love more...sunflowers or
precious metal clay created sunflowers?

This is one of my line drawings that I did way back in 2007...and it worked out soooo well in the PMC...that I think I'll go for more. I can't believe that I hesitated about doing the PMC for so long...I don't do well with polymer clay and I thought it would be much of the same...but thank goodness it's not. I've always had trouble staying out of my studio before, but now, I'm even dreaming in PMC...and can't wait to get up and get working on something.

If anyone is a wine lover...especially the red kind...then this is the necklace for you. It's very hard sometimes to take a pic of silver...so just an FYI, the dark is not so dark in real life...I added some 'grape' beads to make it even more festive. It's on my Etsy site.

Daisies don't tell!

Morning Everyone...a wonderful Tuesday here in the blustery NW. I actually see sunshine outside my studio window...
maybe I'll have to rethink my big sweater and leather boots for today's outings...naw...there may be sun, but it will only be about 58 today. We haven't had a really good sunny day since last October...oh how I long for the sun and surf =)

This is my newest precious metal piece...a wild daisy. It took some lovely words to get all 17 pieces to bond together...but in the end...I won. I'm still tweeking the zodiac designs, but they should start showing up next week.
