Jim (Baisao) came over yesterday for a little studio time, and experimenting with the strobes. He brought over a couple of his Rolleiflex TLR's for glamour shots. Here's the 2.8C, and his recent addition should be following shortly. This one is pretty much straight out of camera. The only edits I did were cleaning up some dust on the table. I recently picked up a couple soft silver PLM umbrellas from Paul C. Buff, and the catch lights are just incredible. I'm looking forward to experimenting…

The Rolleiflex 2.8F has a 80mm taking lens which is either a Planar or, as in this model, a Xenotar. If the Rolleiflex was an old man, it would be diagnosed “longsighted” because the closest focusing distance for the 80mm lens is only about 1m. This limitation makes it difficult to take head and shoulder portraits without cropping. One workaround is to use a Rolleinar close up attachment.
