What I wasn’t pleased with was the handle falling off the wheel of my press, but that’s another story. Back to the print. There was me expecting cold weather and possible snow, but no, it’s so mild it’s hard to believe it’s February 🙈 It was this time last year that I took the photo this print is based on. Bargue Prints 🎨 on Instagram: "Nothing is such beautiful as a lithography print. It’s not a plate from Bargue drawing course or Julien. The name of the author of this plate is shown at the end of the video of the previous post. It’s a plate from Laurens. Laurens was contemporary of Bargue. He was a painter and lithographer and also created a drawing cost around 1860. We found this plate a few weeks ago and were very surprised to see that Bargue and Julien were not the only courses available in the 19th century. This plate was printed in Chine Collé which was considered as a lux print. The detail and finesse of this plate is extraordinary. We are now focusing in Chine Collé to increase the quality of print.
