Dale chihuly art projects for kids

We looked at the work of glass artist Dale Chihuly for this project. Color a regular coffee filter in washable markers. Spray them with starch, Hang them upside down on a water bottle to dry, Mount them on black cardboard and have an art show!

The Joslyn in Omaha has an awesome Dale Chihuly sculpture that definitely made an impact on the kids. Today they were super excited to do their Chihuly inspired projects. As part of our sculpture unit we looked at the work of Dale Chihuly. The kids were fascinated by the fact that you could make sculpture out of glass.
