Cab Calloway (December 25, 1907 - November 18, 1994) was a singer and band leader best known for his scat style in songs such as Minnie the Moocher. He led a house band at Harlem's Cotton Club, as did Duke Ellington, and both men appeared regularly on Walter Winchell's radio program.
