Gifts... gifts... CRAFTS!
so yes... staying up at early hours trying to finish up this and that for the craft fair on Sunday.... if you're on Maui, Ben Franklin's Spring Craft Fair is this Sunday (5/1) at War Memorial Gym from 9am-2pm.... Awesome crafts, ono snacks and make 'n takes with the BF crew!! come out and check it out!
now back to my post... i'm sharing some more memo paper holders today, that have seemed to have taken me longer to accomplish than the first batch i did a few weeks ago.... but i guess i wasn't concetrating on them like the last time and i've procrastinated too much this time... hehe!
this was the first one i made this round... and i entered it into the TGF FFCB WOW Challenge issued last week, which was NO PINK! aw, come on, that was hard... LOL.... i LOVE pink!!
here's a few more... featuring different images from CC Designs, TGF, and my old faithful sizzix friend, Hello Kitty... (i forgot how time consuming putting HK together can be) made about 10 total, but failed to photograph all of it since i was packaging them as i was completing it... photos don't come out so well with the package... eek! anyway, these are great gifts for Mother's Day or Teacher's Appreciation Day or those just because moments... each holder measures 3 1/4 x 5 1/4 and includes 50 blank sheets and a ball point pen... and they will be available for sale at the craft fair... or email me if interested.... =D
no onto some fun sharing.... Easter Sunday was a blast for me and my family... it was a really busy one but we enjoyed every minute of it... started off with mass and a baptismal... then a birthday party... and we ended the day coming home to color eggs, hide them and then frost some yummy cupcakes! party cake!! my kids fave!
mmmm, and milk choclate frosting..... yum yum yum! better work off those calories....
here's the girls getting crafty with frosting cupcakes... i think they enjoyed this part more than coloring eggs... hehe! DD2 decided to load the chocolate on her last cupcake, dump out 1/4 of the sprinkles and just eat that.... and by that, i mean just the frosting and sprinkles... LOL... silly girl! she does that with donuts too...
alrighty! time to head on out.... back to the craft room that is... i have to admit that i'm looking forward to getting back into a regular schedule that includes some adequate sleep, but for the time being, i'm enjoying every moment crafting!! it will smooth out soon! oh and i'm SO counting down the days until my mini vacay!! can't wait to see the dolls!!!! so until my next post.... SMILE!!!

In(k) Distress!
new challenge over at TGF FFCB for Farm Fresh Friday... this week's challenge is to DISTRESS!! now that's something i need to learn how to do... and i don't just mean crafting... LOL... can you believe i've NEVER done any distressing on my creations before?! i love the effects of it, both just torn edges and ink distressing, but never tried it for myself... this challenge was a great push to "try" it....
anyway... i needed to make a birthday card for a party we are attending this weekend and used Oliver from TGF's OA Happy Day set to send the birthday boy some wishes... i apologize for the bad picture... the DP i used is really shimmery and i tried adjusting the exposure, but it wasn't working for me... if you enlarge the pix, you'll be able to see my attempt at distressing a little better... don't laugh ok, it's only my first time... LOL
here's the latest that's been happening in the craft room besides the card above... i had to finish packing up these Easter baskets for my kiddies and their cousins... thankfully i've succeed and now they are ready for Easter.... need to put together a few more Easter goodies for DD1's teacher, A+ leader and Kumu and i'm done!! Yay!!! wonder who's going to help me do that?
i'll be back tomorrow with another creation so until then.... have a beautiful Wednesday and thank you for dropping in!!! Smiles!

This and That...
i was so surprised and jumping with excitemet to have found out that this card was randomly picked as the winner for that challenge!! WOW-WEE!! Totally made my day!!
Madelyn is my FAVE from the TGF Twinkle Tots line... she's adorable with a bit of sass and total CUTENESS... i CASEd the layout on Markie's Mom's card and see the beautiful crochete flower??? that was made by Kim! Thanks Kim, i finally found the perfect card to use the flower on!! All the DP is a new line that i picked up over the weekend at BF, i can't remember the company but the line is called April's Showers... so pretty for spring themed creations... i'm getting a little better with blending my copics and the more i practice the more satisfied i am with the color results... what do you think about this one?
over the weekend i got a FANTABULOUS surprise RAK from my GF Brenda! Lookie at what she sent for Easter!! i'm sure you've spied these cutie baskets on her blog already, but i'm sharing it again... Thank you Brenda for the CUTE basket and all the yum yums inside... it's my sugar stash for late nights! hehe! Brenda's a pro at whipping up these Cricut Critters...
and last but not least... my lil' monkey wanted to say HI! he's all tickled in laughter... hmmmm, i wonder why?!
ok, time to try and get creative again... i have 2 weeks before the last craft fair... still haven't taken inventory, still unsure of what creations need more of... i think my mojo took a break over the weekend too... trouble is, i think it's still on break! might have to fire that one and find a replacement!! LOL... thanks for coming by today and please come back tomorrow for more sharings!!

i LOVE some bunny!
i mean BUNNIES!! Happy Aloha Friday everyone!! Thanks for catching up with me today... as promised, i said i would have something hoppin' on my blog and i do....
the other day as i was checking out blogs, i stumbled upon a post by Joy of the Joy of Crafting blog... She and her gal pal Flat Leilani was giving away bunnies to good homes... i always wanted a bunny... from small kid time, but never got one... so i decided to adopt one or two and ended up with 4!! wowza... now i have bunnies of my own!! oh speaking of Flat Leilani, i did have one too, but was so caught up with prepping for a new baby, that i sent her on a little vacay with family and well, she didn't come back! LOL... guess she was having a blast and forgot about me!
ok, so the bunnies arrived at my home and i immediately put them to work.... sort of a try-out... and boy are they helpful... oh and i must add, TOTALLY CUTE! see here... they were having so much fun helping me put the last 20 baskets together.... i think one of them were sneaking some candy too... hmmm, i wonder which one? YAY!! 20 baskets for DD1's hula sisters are complete... with lots of THANKS to my new bunnies... for that, they are definitely KEEPERS!! hehe... now on to naming them... meet Blossom (yellow) and Blue (brown) as in Blue's Clues... he got his name courtesy of DD2.... and here is Pixie (pink) and Fudge (brown)... aren't they the cutest?!? hmm, i think you should go and adopt some too... perfect to have around for the Easter season... and hey, keep them all year through...
well, i'm thinking it's time for some giveaways... are you GAME?! April is known for it's 'showers'... in literal terms, rain showers, in more fun terms, wedding showers, baby showers, showers in general <--- LOL... so why not have a prize shower!! YAY for candy!! here's the GAME deets:
Anytime you spy a bunny (or bunnies) on one of my postings, leave a comment and mention WHICH BUNNY (or bunnies, by NAME) you spy on the post. This will give you one entry into the drawing. Come back the next day (or two) and find a bunny, leave another comment with who you spy and get another entry... For example, if i hide the bunnies on 5 posts from now until game end and you comment on each of those postings, you will get 5 entries in the drawing... Got it?! Have questions, don't hesitate to email me and ask! I hope you'll play along... just a little Easter fun!!
Here's how you can play:
1. You must be a follower of my blog as of TODAY (4/15) to be eligible to play.
2. Comment - if you are playing the game, make sure you mention the bunnies you spy on the post for that day. Mentioning the bunny(bunnies) name will get you an entry....
3. PLEASE DO NOT post this on your blog. This is a fun game for those who are following my blog already. A fun little way to say THANK YOU for your endless support and encouragement.
4. Game ends on April 30th at Midnight, HST. All qualified entries will be entered to win a surprise prize! ok, since i have 4 bunnies, 4 winners will be drawn. Only one surprise prize per winner!
Please have fun with this game... Don't forget to keep an eye out for my mischevious bunnies... they are always up to something... especially Fudge!! he is so kolohe!!
oh and one more thing... any comments on this post will automatically be enetered into the drawing as long as you are already a follower!

Easter treats!
just sharing with you the 22 baskets i made last night for DD1's classmates...
i took the easy way out and assembled these cute baskets with plain CS and computer generated sentiments... these are a bit smaller than my bunny baskets i previously did, using 4x4 CS, but it fits those sweet treats perfectly.... i don't think a bunch of 2nd graders really understand the concept of homemade (or handmade) gifts, so instead of going crazy and making it all nice nice, left it plain and will wrap these up in some Easter baggies... simple enough!
i have 20 more to make for DD1's hula sisters and hope to finish those tonight... i can do it!!! i think... hehe! i'm actually enjoying the amounts i have to make right now... i just know when DD2 starts going to school, the count will grow... oh boy... yah, i'm really enjoying the numbers now.... oh my, what will i do when i have the 3 kiddies in school???? i'll have to make like 80 treats!! LOL...
thanks for spending a part of your day to check out my crafties... come back soon!!!

Bunny finds a home!
so during the first "Paper Doll" virtual craft parties we had (Thanks Jodi who had initially started that before Paper Dolls), my mission was to make a new home for Bunny! after i spying a cute basket on Karen's blog (btw, Thanks Karen!) i decided to try and case it.... and after much frustration, whacked measurements to make it fit right and tons of sore stomach kine laughs (Thanks Linda, Jodi and Denise) here is a semi finished basket...
why semi?? cause i don't know what else to add to it, hehe! Bunny sits perfectly in the basket and there is still space to add some candies and other goodies... you can check out Karen's finished baskets on her blog, and see that she has used some Dandelion Designs images and circle/scallop punches to cover up where the ends meet... i think i do intend to do the same, but haven't gotten that far.... LOL... i just don't know what image i want to use... if you ask me, i think it looks good just like this... but then again, maybe that is just the laziness taking control! haha!!
is my mission accomplished? okie dokes.... time to post and run.... back to busy wednesdays with DD1.... have a fabulous hump day all! muah!

Washcloth Bunny Tutorial
start off with your needed supplies... washcloths, pom poms for the nose and tail, googly eyes, mini rubberbands and ribbon if you like...
layout the washcloth so it forms a somewhat square...
starting at one end, roll beginning at the edge to about the middle of the cloth...
proceed the same on the other end... both ends should meet in the middle...
then, fold together so it becomes one strip....
fold in half like this creating a loop at one end... the loop will be your bunny body...
about a 1/4 from your loose ends is where you are going to form the head and ears...
pinch the middle and fold up towards the body....
secure with the rubber band... it will look like this... now you can adjust the ears to have them point up and so forth... by using clear rubberbands, you don't have to add ribbon if you prefer not to, but if you want some color, why not...
this time i used a low temp glue gun to securely add the eyes, nose and tail... i've also used 2 way tape in the past which is a bit easier to take off the elements.... you know, for those unexpected times you need a washcloth...
do this a few times and you'll have a whole bunch of bunnies hoping around... you can add whatever will fit in the little pocket area like this... because it's Easter, i used plastic Easter eggs... these make quick cute gifts or even favors... it doesn't have to be for Easter... they make great baby shower gifts/favors, or introductions for that special new bundle of joy... maybe even a spring themed wedding.... hey, if you're gonna try this out, definitely send me a link to your creations... i would LOVE to see what you make of these cute bunnies!!! Thanks for coming by today... i'll be back with more BRAKs and some easy Easter treats....

Some Bunny Loves You!
and on a plus note, i finished some treats for DD#1's classmates and hula sisters... and i've got one to show you...
i made these sweet little bunnies out of washcloths for her classmates at school... my original intention was to place a filled Easter egg in the holder part, but then i realized i had pencils to give them too... so i found these carrot shaped Easter bags that i stuffed with a pencil and some sweet treats... bunny and a carrot?! thought it went together perfectly... the only other problem i had was how was i going to put these 2 together.... well, i just slid the carrot into the holder... i was afraid that these 5-7 years olds would poke eachother with the tip of the carrot, so i bagged these goodies in another treat bag for easy giving and handling (sorry didn't take a pix of the final project)... in the words of my 2 year old, "Bunny go hop hop!" LOL... and yes, these bunnies will be hopping into the hands of their new owners on Thursday... phew, one to cross off my list...
in simple projects, i also wrapped up some treats for hula sisters... since it's such a small class, i took advantage and went out the easy way.... bought some solid hollow milk chocolate bunnies and just wrapped them in some Easter baggies... with a tag, these goodies are ready to be passed out... i'll share a pix of it as soon as i get the chance... another one i crossed off my list...
it was a busy weekend, trying to gather all the things we need to fill Easter baskets and goodie bags... but a productive one indeed... i'm just crossing my fingers that i can get the rest ready and out in time too.... i think i can i think i can!! LOL... alrighty, time for me to get ready for another week! so i'll see you all later!! Have a GREAT day!!
