Ooh, I love the counter thingie. I am trying not to think too much about it because I am so excited! You will have to share the secret of how to get that countdown thing on to a blog.
Woo hoo! Awesome counter, dude! This is my third Bonnie mystery. I started "Roll Roll, Cotton Boll" but haven't finished it... the pieces turned out the wrong size. But I did finish "Easy Street"! Have you done any of Bonnie's other mysteries?
I've got my fabrics set aside and I will be doing NOTHING but working on this on Friday until the first clue is finished. (Thank goodness for leftovers, my family can feed themselves while I sew LOL.) What colors are you using? I've chosen to use BMW's "M" colors. You can read about it on my blog if you like...
I am so excited to start my first mystery quilt and my first Bonnie Hunter quilt! I doubt I will be able to keep up since we are winding down the semester and heading into finals. Hopefully I can catch up over break. :)
Kevin!! Hi!! Curious to know what your colours will be. You and I did similar colours for Easy Street although yellow was more dominant in mine and blue in yours. I have to work Friday so will start on Saturday. I've chosen the rebel route this year. I purchased a bolt of batik while at Fabric Depot last summer. I have been waiting for the right quilt before cutting into it. I decided that Celtic Solstice is that quilt! So rather than going scrappy, I've purchased coordinating fabrics, going totally against the grain of what Bonnie does. But I love my colours and I want to do the focus fabric justice so it will be interesting to see how mine turns out. I'll have to check back in your posts to see if you've posted colours.
This will be my first ever mystery. I don't even know what is supposed to happen! I'll have to log on and do what I am told! I am using Bonnie's colors just to avoid confusing myself. Just found your blog Kevin- I am enjoying it very much! Happy Holidays! Donna B in Harwich MA
Can't wait to start, this will be my first BH Mystery and I am planning on doing Pineapple Crazy as my L's & E's. Happy Quilting from Western Australia :) Great job on the Countdown Clock Kevin!!!!
LOL. You know I'm playing along...I will just get a bit of a late start; traveling back home late Friday afternoon, but Friday LATE night and Saturday should be all mine for Part 1 :) I'll be sure to check in, so you had BETTER post your progress on Friday :p
Too funny! I will be making a mini. I had changed my mind in Shipshewana when I found more fabric. Nope, that was not acceptable to everyone in Shipshewana. They committed me to doing a mini. AND NO I'M NOT MAKING TWO!!!!!
I have done all of Bonnie's mysteries but am still so excited for the next one. Have loved them all. Fabrics are all ready to go. Happy Turkey Day from Canada.
So excited...but bummed I have to work for 4 hours during prime Black Friday Quilting time! I think I'm going to nap early and set my alarm to wake up at MIDNIGHT EST!
I have done every one of Bonnie's mysteries. I had decided not to start this one but as usual, changed my mind. I had everything I needed in my stash so that is even better.
I have family coming over tomorrow, but I'll be looking at that clue first thing tomorrow and hope to start cutting on Saturday....or maybe Friday night. This is my fourth Bonnie mystery. Number 3 is still in pieces, but it will keep for now. Let the fun begin!!!
OK, I'm going to commit to making another Bonnie mystery, but my fabrics are hiding somewhere in my stash. I can't decide what colors to use. Will make that decision based on which clue is first! This will be totally unplanned and spontaneous. Here it is 1:40 am and there is not clue yet!!! I'm waiting.
I am in for another Bonnie mystery! I worked on getting all 188 blocks done today and ready for clue #2. I am happy I chose the small size :) I am making mine in reds, royal blues, light blues, golds and off white for the neutrals. It will be a Quilt of Valor. Can't wait to see how all the quilts evolve. Tanya in Springfield, MO
