Shabby Chic Easter

Hi! Just wanted to share a new card for the Easter holiday. I was in the mood for shabby chic pinks and using some old pieces of resin. I forgot how I love it so much!

The pink paper is from Echo Park that I sure have been using quite a bit lately. The flowers are from Prima and some others from Recollections. The doily, dove and leaves are from Cheery Lynn Designs and the resin circle I bought at Michael's clearance section. The adorable rabbit is also from Prima.

I used a Martha Stewart punch in the inside and the sentiment is from Stamps by Judith.

Kindness With The Shabby Tea Room Summer Picnic #256!

Hello Shabby Girls!
Today, I'm sharing with you a new card for The Shabby Tea Room inspired by this week's photo. Lots to choose from in this photo and I was planning to add some tea items but I also really wanted to make a vase and show the basket and towel. I ended up having to cut it back because it started to look almost like too much....you know what I mean? lol

I used two French Pastry doily and French Pastry Tiny Doily and an Ivy Flourish Corner that is made from Cheery Lynn Designs and can be bought from DiesRUs.com or from the Cheery Lynn Designs Store. The vase was made with my cricut and I embossed it with tiny white stamps and added a resin butterfly in the center. I stamped the basket in brown ink and the fussy cut out the edges. The stamp is from Heartfelt Creations called Basketweave Background. I added pink flowers from Recollections.

To represent the towel that reminds me of my mother and my husband's mother, I cut white cardstock and added some pink lines to the edge with my copic marker.

Here is the beautiful photo inspiration!

Relax and Count the Waves...

Hello everyone!
So it's Sunday and my last day of vacation...sigh...back to work tomorrow!
I'm not sure if anyone has noticed? but this summer I'm all about nautical and beach cards. I just can't stop thinking about the ocean and the peacefulness it brings to my soul. So what a wonderful inspirational photo by Verve has given to me to play with and so many others on my favorite month of the year! It is called "Sensational Stripes" and that is exactly what it is all about!
Here is my interpretation of this month's photo.

I have two sets of striped papers, one in baby blue and one in grey. I couldn't decide if I wanted waves and beach sand, wood or fences, nautical banners or shabby chic, nautical pieces or ocean animals/seashells? So guess what? As you can see I placed them all on one card! lol

The paper wood is a stamp from Heartfelt Creations and I embossed it in white, then added little silver stickers on the ends. I diecut the fence, stamped and embossed Verve nautical wheel & anchor. I diecut the waves in blue and Kraft paper from Reverse Confetti. Stamped some seagulls from Heartfelt Creations. I printed the sentiment up on my computer and placed it in the shabby resin window. A little burlap in the center. So finally, I thought I was ready to take some pictures....then I last minute I changed my mind and had to add a seahorse and some shells from the Internet....whew...don't think I can much more on here? lol

Here you can see more details...it may be a bit busy for some of you scrappers/ cardmakers out there...However I had a blast making it and it feels complete to me...now I can Relax....lol

My inspirational photo by Verve....thank you so much! It is so me....

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful relaxing day!

Sweet Birthday Wishes on the 4th of July!

Hi!
Happy 4th of July!
So this is my favorite holiday of the whole year!
Today I'm sharing a new card made for my aunt for her birthday which is today!
I wanted to keep the theme of the 4th and yet make it beautiful by adding pearls, flowers and a resin birthday cake by Melissa Francis. This card was also inspired by this week's Mojo Monday # 404.

The papers are from DCWV and the flowers are all recollections. The pearl swirl is from Zva and the rest of the pearls are from recollections.

I used a spellbinders splendid circle and the stamps are part of a cupcake pack.

Here is the great sketch! Thank you!

Hope everyone has a wonderful 4th of July and be safe!

Shabby Thanks

Hello, Its Thursday...that is on odd day for me to be off work and playing in my scrap room. However, it was slow today and....I started my vacation a day early! YAY!
So, this morning I wanted to make a Mixed Media card for a challenge over at scrapbook.com. I'm still feeling nautical and so that Is why I used teal. It reminds me of the beach and water. I titled it thank you because you can never have enough thank you cards in your stash. :)

The swirl was a metal stencil that I bought a while ago at my local convention from dreamweaver. I then used embossing paste, heat embossed and distressed inked it with Tim holtz. I used a couple of spellbinders diecuts and a few Cheery Lynn Designs. The flowers are from Recollections and the Resin frame is from Prima. The cute butterflies stamps are from Heartfelt Creations and I diecut them with an exclusive spellbinders diecut.

The papers are from Teresa Collins and the stamp I bought a super long time ago...
Sorry cant remember who? I added some tulle and tiny pearls throughout.

A side view. All the flowers are part of the dollar section at Michael's.
The heart diecut is from Our Daily Bread and the banners and leaves are from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Shabby Chic Get Well Soon

Hi everyone!
I hope your weekend has been going wonderful!
I have been able to make some new cards this weekend. This card came up unexpectedly for someone close in our family. She likes pink and had to have surgery recently. So this is what I came up with to give to her. I have made a tissue box card in the past, so that was my inspiration again today.

The flowers are part of the dollar section at Michael's and I really love them a lot. So I think I may have to go back to see if they have more and buy them up. The resin bunny is part of the shabby chic collection by Prima.

I made a pink double bow and added pearls to the top. The center opening of the tissue box has real tissue paper and there are pearls all around the opening too. There are also pearl swirls and a few in 2 of the corners.

The sentiment is from Verve. I love the font.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful Sunday!
Hugs, Lisa
