Stampendous! is celebrating the July Catalog with a Virtual Catalog Party for their retailers! Each day a new product will be featured and there will be a video and other artwork spotlighting it. Be sure to check Stampendous!' blog throughout the week so you don't miss anything! Here's a link to the participating retailers.
Today's spotlight shines on the fantastically fun "Gnomes and Friends" Die Set , which is absolutely adorable especially if you love gnomes, which I do.
Here's what the website says about this set.
"27 dies let you create a forest full of darling gnomes and their animal friends from your scraps of patterned and solid papers. Grab some glue and paper-piece a wonderland of sweet friends."

Instructions:
- Cut 12x12 blue cardstock to 7" x 10". Score at 5" and fold to form an A7 card.
- Trim the remaining cardstock to 10" wide and adhere it to a piece of printer paper with temporary adhesive.
- Use magnets to secure the cardstock/printer paper combo to the base of a stamping platform.
- Position the 8x8 Decor Cling stamp as desired, press the platform's lid onto the cling foam, and lift the lid. Ink the stamp with white hybrid ink and stamp. Repeat if necessary.
- Sprinkle embossing powder over the image, dump off the excess, and heat set.
- Trim the embossed blue cardstock to 6.5" x 4.5" to form the image panel.
- Adhere white glitter tape to the base of the embossed image panel.
- Edge the image panel with the Frost Sheer Shimmer Stix. Set aside.
- Cut a piece of Mixed Media white paper in half. Place it onto the cutting plate of your die-cutting machine and add the dies you want to use from the "Gnomes and Friends" Die Set. Add the second cutting plate and run the sandwich through your machine.
- Repeat if necessary. I needed to use the gnome body die, the gnome hat die, the cat die, the braid die, and the shoes die twice.
- My Distress® Oxide inks had been neglected and I wasn't feeling up to coloring for hours, so I used the inks to color the shoes, gnome bodies, gnome hats, and gnome shoes. I generally used the darker color around the edges, then blended the lighter color over it.
- The cats, the gnome's beard, the lady gnome's braids, the candy cane, and all three gnome noses were colored with Copic markers.
- The gnomes' mittens were painted with Titanium White MFA paint.
- When the paint was dry, Cotton Ball White Fun Flock was added to the gnomes' mitten cuffs with Quickie Glue.
- Stamp the sentiment onto blue cardstock with Onyx Black VersaFine ink. Let dry.
- Use one of the small dies from the Fitted Frames B Die Set to cut the sentiment.
- Use the slightly larger die to cut the glitter cardstock.
- Adhere the sentiment die-cut to the glitter die-cut.
- Adhere all the elements as shown.
- Cut the striped patterned paper to 6.75" x 4.75" and edge with the Frost Sheer Shimmer Stix. Let dry.
- Adhere the image panel to the striped paper, then adhere to the card.
