The quilts from the collection of Arlan and Pat Christ, a Pennsylvania couple with a passion for antique quilts, has been making the rounds of exhibit venues since 2008.
It was a pleasure to finally see some of the quilts in this collection at the AQSG Seminar in New Jersey last fall. Here is a peek at a couple of them below. (Click on the above link to read about the 2012 AQSG Seminar. Every year we see more and more fabulous quilts. Meeting near the International Quilt Study Center Museum this year in Lincoln, Nebraska, has got us all jazzed!
I absolutely love the cheddar combinations in Pennsylvania quilts, so guess which ones in their exhibit I focused on.
The Christ's currently have an exhibit hanging at The Quilters Hall of Fame in Marion, Indiana. Hope you have a chance to do a bit of traveling this summer in the Mid-West and take in one of their exhibits. Click here to see a couple of additional quilts from their collection on the TQHF blog.
Here is to a productive and creative life! Give your loved ones a hug while you can!!
I'd like to salute the productive, creative life of my dear cousin Melinda Moore who passed away unexpectedly of a massive brain hemorrhage this past week at the young age of 51 years. Our love and prayers go out to her only child Jenica and her family. Jenica is carrying Melinda's unborn granddaughter, due in 3 months.
