This is just how I make it for myself as a Ghanaian. 🇬🇭 Typically, Ghanaians eat it with fried plantain but in this video I have showed some of my other two favourite ways to enjoy it white rice and boiled ripe plantain. This video is by popular demand. After posting kaklo and beans, I got at least a 100 comments asking for the bean stew recipe. I make it differently every time I cook it because the truth is, I don’t measure. The general ratio of ingredients can be found below. This was a bigger batch, about a serving for 6 so feel free to halve the recipe. Because I don’t LOVE the texture of super ripe plantain (the softness) I make my kaklo firmer using about 3/4 cups of flour for every three plantains but to make softer ones that are more the texture of overripe plantain you can reduce the flour added to about 1/2 cup or even less if it holds up in your fryer. Patience and practice will help you during the frying process. A tasty once-in-a-while snack sometimes eaten with groundnut and no other sides.
