Alphabet objects

Description Done completely in Illustrator for a class project. We had to find an object that looked like each letter of the alphabet and design it. Sounds simple enough, but it was surprisingly hard to think of an object for some of the letters. O.o

Alphabet illustration

36 Days of Type is a yearly open call inviting designers, illustrators and visual artists to share their view on the letters and numbers of our alphabet. I decided to play with common objects and distort them to make letterforms.

Ideas come at the least expected moment. The other day I was working on Re- project #3 and I had no idea what to do. So there I was on my table staring at my art bin where I keep all my tools & stuff. The shape & the color of every items were screaming for my attention and I got lost in details of each object. Before I knew it I abandon Re- project #3 and worked on something totally out of plan.

I love books and I love graphic design — that's all. "Every book is made of characters" is an alphabet made by some of my favourite characters from novels.You can try to guess them and have a little more fun, too. ;)
