Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs & Good Vikings

This week at SKETCHES IN THYME we have this fun 2 page sketch:

I used photos that I took in Ohio in July...all taken at the same park....even within a few minutes of each other....first as we were loooking out over the pond...and it was very cloudy.... and then a few minutes later on a little bridge where joseph was "jump posing' for me... (acting like a "meatball")....

I also want to share this layout that I did about Joseph's Viking Project last year in 3rd grade...he made a shield and his buddy Logan made a helmet...  during our "walk-through", I got this great photo of them!

MIM - Musical Instrument Museum

This week at FROSTED DESIGNS our challenge is CHIPBOARD....

I used these recent photos of our trip to the Musical Instrument Musuem (AKA...MIM)

The Music Notes are painted with Ranger Crackle Paint (Tea Dye color) and the Banner pieces are chipboard inked with Ranger Distress Ink (also Tea Dye color) and the keys and MIM letters are chipboard as well.

Here's what I made..using an old Authentique line.

Embossing challenge for Frosted Designs

This week over at FROSTED DESIGNS our challenge is embossing...

So I used this "pre-embossed" wood grain texture paper, sanded it and inked it....

But seriously, I swear I didn't take the easy way out on this one....

I also colored the chipboard trees with Copics and then heat embossed them...  see close up!

A few layouts and a Blog Hop Winner RAK...

Today I'd like to share a few layouts that I did for challenges over at My Scraps and More.

These first two are lifts of  layouts (2 different ones) and both are for a challenge where I'm trying to use a particular line of product...in my case Fancy Pants Park Bench.

This layout is for 2 challenges:   1) Use Red, white & blue and 2) Use 3 pieces of Washi Tape

This next one I fit into a challenge to use the word HELLO.

This is a funny story about something Joseph (age 9) said...

And this one is for a challenge about Hearts:

1) About something near & dear to your heart

2) use at least 3 different hearts

3) use the word Heart
