Fun with MDS Monday

I recently discovered the MDS Monday blog by my good friend Jessica at Stamp a Blessing! I have really enjoyed the digital fun with MDS and stumbling upon Holly's blog was quite a treat.
Here is the format I modified:

And here's what I created:

I really enjoyed the opportunity to play with the different photo boxes and using the pop of color in the center photo. I look forward to following Holly's blog and making more MDS happiness!

I'm linking over to the challenge over here...

Simply Scrapbooking

I have really enjoyed MDS and how it simplifies my scrapbooking life! I have been busy of late working on some pages for the kids (birthdays, playdates, adventures, etc.) and I'm waiting for an ideal print sale from Stampin Up to bind my 12x12 layouts in a book. For this layout, I just kept things simple and used items from Jessica Sprague's Snap Click Supply Hootenanny Kit. That's the beauty of MDS- it's versatility with other .png, .jpg, .svg. etc. results in endless creativity!

Handy Birthday Cards

The other day I noticed my stash of birthday cards was EMPTY- yikes! I haven't made cards in a while so it was fun to whip up a few cards to keep on hand for a friend's special day. I also plan to work on my supply of kids birthday cards- thanks Jessica U. for the inspiration, you read my mind on making cards for kids and oh how I love a 3x3 card!!
 from Rememberj.blogspot.com
I used several tags from the SU 'Tag a Bag' bundle and what I like about these cards is that they scream- SPRING COME QUICKLY!

Importing SVG files into MDS

I was browsing the MDS forum and came across an old post about creating your own punches. I have a growing library of SVG files on my computer and wanted to see whether or not I could import an SVG into MDS. Well, ta-dah I can!

I got this free photo film strip file from Kerri Bradford Studio. I like her design style and I'm looking forward to getting some fresh ideas from her blog posts!

Here is the film strip SVG that I used (originally it was the color gray) and opened up in MDS- I can re-color, re-size, etc. I love the possibilities with this MDS program and I'm really looking forward to doing more digital scrapbooking.
