I love how the player controls. Its really hard, but if you get the rhythm down, there’s just enough time to keep going.
High Score: 115
I mean this with nothing but love: I hated it :((((( 2 spoopy 4 me
Lol
All that being said, it was very fun and atmospheric. Gave me the heebiest of jebbies
Fantastically creative mechanic! One of the more unique entries this jam
Very neat project! Great job on getting your 1st one out (0 months experience holy heck!?!)
I had viewport issues on my tiny monitor: look into some multiple-resolution guides for whatever engine you’re using and that should fix it
The art style is gorgeous and the theme of the Living Statues is awesome. Would love to see the story expanded upon
I love these attention based puzzles, that just ask you to make sure you are buying in to the world! Great vibes
Very addictive, kept finding myself going “Okay, one more try. Okay one more try.” Very difficult game for the duration
Had a friend recommend your stuff and its been about all I use now!
Submitted Mr Tom Protects His Heart From The Mad Marble Mage to Newbie Jam 5 and as part of the 20 Game Challenge. I used your assets for Mr. Tom, the Marbles, and the Mad Mage!!
Definitely plan on using these as I flesh out more prototypes, I can’t wait to become a paid supporter <3 Keep it up
Planning on using your pack Retro-Lines in the next one
I’ll be running a live-stream event playtesting and reviewing submissions! If you’d like an in-depth review of your game, make sure to reach out to me either here or on the discord!
Glad you made it out!! Keep me posted on your next Jam and I may join?!
I love the mashup between deepfried low-poly and cthullu being cozy. Maybe not the coziest submission this jam, but definitely love the setting and roommates
THOSE DANG ICE SPIKES!!! Very chill defense game, I loved the movement it felt very fluid and all of the upgrades felt impactful.
Very smooth character controller! I got overwhelmed with how quickly the plants grew that I could only manage a small plot of 5-6 pumpkins at most, but it was fun trying to optimize timing
Truly addictive. I felt myself going into the same rhythm back when I played Civ, great job yall
For one, I love a cheeky meta-game!
Two, the sfx design in this was stellar: wrapped up into a larger Expansion I'd see myself addicted to the gameplay loop
I like the balloon mechanic, but wish I could also jump/move back/forth. It felt bad to miss coins that I saw along the way
Very intuitive game, at no point did I find myself confused!! Loved managing multiple little squirrel armies at once
Holy heck, this was 100% polish through and through
The hint with the candle stick was a standout fave
LOVE this style, but there are quite a few ways to break the game lol
Very fun jumping mechanic, and the trampoline was such a fun interaction! A shame sfx didn't make it
What a blast, wish I could pew pew my friends. Excited to see where this concept goes, it'd be a chill game to adventure with buddies
Vibes are perfect and love this idea!
I would suggest making the hitboxes for sticks a bit wider for ease-of-clicking
Very smooth controls with a simple well-done concept. I'd suggest including different options for switching colors, such as on keypresses for accessibility sake
A bit confused on how to interact with the ghosts, but other than that this was such a delight. It felt like I was playing in an old children' book
If you've got a copy of the story board, I'd love to read it! I love the idea of an Old Gods/HP Lovecraft type story line set within a JRPG style game
Interesting combat mechanic. Like other's I was skeptical but it won me over. If I wasn't rushing submissions I'd love to take the time to grind enough to beat it
Took me a minute to realize that my arm could dodge!! After that, I started having a blast. Would love to see this as a fully fleshed out concept
Even if these characters don't see the end-goal of this game, I'm definitely attached to them. This won't be the last time you're seeing them
If you'd like a better idea of what the story was going for, I'd say look at the storyboard.txt [that's the part I contributed most on]
The game was in a *state* by the time we submitted. As far as I'm aware, our programmers working on getting it set straight
If there is a lesson to be learned here it is backup your backup's backups. And perhaps if the jam is longer than a week, don't submit the night before
Of course!! I'll probably be streaming my No-Hint run at some point just to be self-indulgent. I'll ping you whenever that one goes live!
Oh no! I don't have the screenshot!
When I said the game lost faith in me, it was when the Tip screen came back blank. It just said "Tip: _______"
Not sure if intentional but it gave me a chuckle. I'm definitely going to give it another go. Or if you ever do a walkthrough, video guide of all the secrets, let me know?
