I didn't reject the creature, only the fact you reduced him to a simple unicorn, as he was way more than just that... But ok, I am the bad person here...

Ok!... I was completely overwhelmed...

Text dumps that pass too quickly in the tutorial, on a subject way over my league in real life already...
Couldn't / didn't want to try too hard... But the presentation is goooood! I can give you that! ^^

Bad point for having put wings on your unicorn...

Feels realy good!

But I felt like the more ships I had in my squadron, the less their shooting was effective, or precise... like a squadron of stormtroopers. The best feeling was in the 100-200, I was shredding everything in seconds.

And the flocking physics are very satisfying too!

Great job!

Great game!

The puzzle mechanic being the fight mechanic feels good, and the level design is well thought around that.
The Blob Boss is waaaay too easy, as you see him appear sloooowly and have time to place the sword at it's location before he can make any move...

Thank you for the experience!

And the music was reeeeaaaaly good! You chose... wisely!

The game feels a bit raw, but the idea is interesting.

For a jelly themed game, it's too bad it was so blocky and sharp!

Good potential, keep up!

Yeeeeaaaah! Chaaaaarge, you maggots!

Realy nice! The end of the game caught me by surprise, I was ready to eat a load more invaders!

I love the simple but efficient aesthetic, the sounds and music participate well to the mood.
Maybe the buildings are not as clearly designated as they could, and their price seems to have a digit in excess...

A tiny game with great potential!

Nice game!

I would have put a mouse cursor and the ship aiming at it, instead of rotating the ship on the x variation of the mouse... It felt really weird to control the direction like that!

Little bug at the finish screen, the Total points counter only counted the points I had not used at the end, and not the total of points I gathered during the game. It ma not be a bug, and you intended to show a score system based on the points you sacrificed, but it's not clear if that's the case.

Anyway, nice visuals, nice sounds, nice fun! Good job!

Dear Esther meets Sonic the Hedgehog!

Nice game! Impressive! Thanks for the experience!

Cool game!

Feels complete, engaging, and make me want to play again when the game over is here!

Interesting idea!

I lost too much time fighting the cholesterol cubes at first, as they came back anyway, letting the real viral ennemy spread contagion to nearly all the cells... Maybe stating a bit more clearly what you have to do would help make the game more engaging!

The game wanted me to play it, I was interested and wanted to play it, but the controls where not ok with me playing it, event after a remapping of the keys...

Sorry, I can't really judge your game past the initial feeling... But the feeling is sort of good, while frustrating, like when you see a nice scenery from afar, want to visit it further but it's out of reach.

The photogrametry setting is truly intriguing, somewhere between dream and nightmare...

But nothing to do with all the work you did but roam aimlessly and try to figure out what is the point! And no cicrle, magic or not...

Awesome!

I'd love to play this game on a larger scale! *furious mouse wheel roll sound*

Nice idea!

But it gets a  bit tiring somewhat fast. Some other ways to customize the pizzas would be nice, just the size depending on the type of the animal is just not engaging enough.

The first impression is nice. Good job!

Nice game!

Feels polished, but I don't understand the loosing rules... It felt that I should have lost the game multiple times but I just got another tries.

Good job anyway, really good submission for the jam!

Wooow I love the movement of the fish!
Really satisfying movements, but the controls need to get used to the repeated mashing of the directional keys. Still, it reminds of good old ecco the dolphin in it's megadrive era!

The third form was not as difficult as I feared after reading your warning, but I was a bit too fast and I ended up stuck in a wall! ^^

Good prototype, would love to see it pushed at least a bit further!

Thank you very much!

Stay tuned for an update! I sure will be working on a more accessible version!

Glad you could get some fun from the game anyway!

Thank you very much!

It's an aboslute consensus: it needs a better way to explain the way it works, and the floating cubes are not a nice move! Well, the updated version will be more players friendly, it's a promise!

Thank you for playing and for the thoughts!

Thank you very much!

All the level design was made in the 2 hours before submitting, and I could not put the tutorial I had in mind...

I'm aware that it needs a bit too much obstination from the players in the current state, but I hope it's intriguing enough to push people to fight the frustration...

(1 edit)

Yeah, that's another arguable choice I made... The spell you speak of makes disappear things, thus you can only use it once (unless...). And the last door needs you to use it, but if you are a bit too far, it's dead...
But, there's a way to pass this sad event! (well, in fact, two ways...)
1) I forgot to remove a debug key that opens the door you aim at...
2) There's a glitch that let you fly...

Thank you for the kind comment! Happy that you enjoyed playing my game!
I think I'll try to push the project further.

Yep, floating cubes for the green puzzle was really not a smart move...

I spent a bit too much time on the system and not enough on the level and the puzzles...

I'm happy that you still saw some quality in the project!
Thanks for playing!

I wish too!

I planned to let the game teach the mecanics naturally, but it was such a rush when I could work on the level design that I somewhat failed badly at it...

Glad you could enjoy it anyway!

Nice game, well polished, levels nicely designed!

Good job!

Well, i'm afraid I'll have to tell you that browser games are not an option for unreal engine games... There's no native way in-engine to do that.

As for the game, I didn't understand how to mark points... I made 1, but no idea how, and I ended tracing my way on the highway for eternity... Didn't even have to change scale.

As much as I love scratching cats... this left me... unsatisfied.

And it just cycle... GIMME MORE!

Interesting!

Being shot immediatly after spawning by an ennemy that is behind is a... bold choice? After some balancing, and with a bit of refining on the graphics, it could be an awesome jam game.

Woooow Great submission!
Would love to play a bit more with gravity wells!

I really like the aesthetics!

Nice base idea. Cleanely presented. Needs some fleshing out. Keep up!

Well, could not get the game portion after the visual novel... but I was distracted by the three fun facts about cells anyway, so I didn't notice...

Nice artwork and fun dialogue, but... not a game.

Really cool appetizer of a game! Desserves some more levels and mechanics. Keep it up!

Haha crashed at the 30th era!

Great game! Lacks of variety, every wave feels the same, but I could not stop playing until the crash!

Cool Game!

I love the aesthetic, but the sounds get somewhat annoying quickly... The gameplay is well put, and engaging!

I would not have put the help window competing with the systems window, tho, the switching is tiring.

Ouch, the boss is painful...

Restarting after defeat don't really reset the troops available, the game has to be rebooted to be able to try again...
But I liked the experience, fun in it's simplicity.

Thanks for the playing, rating and comment

Yep, the system is still a bit cluncky and difficult to trigger consistently... Especially with the floating cubes! I don't know what I was thinking when I put those floating cubes right at the beginning, and they are not optional... Well, this was the rush...

Thank you for your test and comment!
See you next year! ^^

(1 edit)

Heh, yep, the hint is misleading, I should have put it like "A Red Carpet Is Not Enough", or something like that...

Try to trigger the "RED" spell on something else than the carpet... ^^

Well, the movement in this game is some sort of hell... I liked the scale portal concept, but the simple attempt to go where I wanted was an ordeal. Less drifting, and a camera you can control on the y axis too would change A LOT the experience. And I could not interact with the yellow cube by pressing or holding E; when I tried to make it pass the portal (and boy was it difficult to push it in the direction intended!), it just got stuck inside the portal, preventing me to go back in the mini scale zone.

I want to see what puzzles you can do with those portals!

Lol, strange how this game is very quickly frustrating and still staying really fun to play! Could not reel any fish, neither buy anything in the shop (those prices... I imagine the fishes sell like hell but heh...) but I did soooooo many flips!

Love the art style, the physics are fun to play with but go too quickly in the crazy zone.

Not too bad, but the game suffers from the mouse over-sensitivity, the perpetual bubbling sound get really fast on my nerves, and the dialog system could be reworked a bit, and when I tried to quick pass the doctor speach as I triggered it again, Zelda64 owl style, it transformed into an horror jibberish mumbling from him that could have come from some lovecraftian incantation... But I doubt it was really intended, seamed like some perpetual random text generation without any sense...

But I could see the hard work, and the mood is there!

Quack!

Nicely Done! A full game, with an ending, and some puzzles worth to put some thoughts to solve! And the art is simple but effective! Congrats!
