There is firewood in a box by the campfire. The door to the campfire room is triggered by a hidden switch.

There is a weird bug with the box where it uses the door opening sound and you cannot grab the firewood in it until the sound completes.

Thanks for checking out my project!

I really like these and think that Heroscape is the bee's knees. Is there any way you could format them to be a single sheet and without extra space around them, so I could use them in Tiled?

Neat choice of monsters and background

Love it! It seems you gain a lot of souls while away. (Even clicking to menu and back)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I like it! Could use some rebalancing.

Update 7/3/2021: I broke it by collecting an overwhelming number of monster souls. Victory.

Fun overall theme. Lots of potential.

Still very buggy. Going back and forth from menu to game causes damage multiplication and music issues. Mute button does not seem to work.

⭐⭐💥💥💥

What is the minimum price to be allowed to use this commercially?

Game crashes immediately and I cannot play through a full session. The code is a very rough and non-functional modification of a space blaster starter I provided earlier. Altogether, not great.

Premise: Solid mechanical setup. The tools are in place to build a more advanced platformer out of this game.

Right Now: Multiple levels exist allowing for some enjoyment of exploration. There doesn't seem to be an objective or any threat to the player. It serves as a basis, but isn't very fun in its current state.

Major Issues: Characters don't really use appropriate animations for movement. There doesn't seem to actually be an objective.

Overall: I would love the see the project expanded upon.

Premise: I am always really happen with wave-survival games. This is simple with smooth mechanics. (Though they could certainly use with some more depth in future updates) I think this is a great idea and should be expanded with more levels.

Right Now: The game is definitely fun for a minute, but its features are exhausted rather quickly.  I think it would be neat to add some additional strategic elements, such as constructing all new barricade objects instead of just repairing existing ones.

Overall: Fun wave-based survival game that could be something really special with any furthered development.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Premise: This is a fantastic idea for a game in my opinion. I like the concept that we get to spend time taking care of our pocket monster elemental instead of just battling. I think you should do more with this over time.

Right Now: The game is honestly fun! It is somewhat lacking in challenge in combat and in things to do outside of combat, but I was amused and art direction brings everything together nicely. I think it would be really neat to have some associated minigames with the at home activities, just so it feels like a little more than click and drag. Maybe a cooking minigame before feeding the elemental, for example.

Major Issues: Could really use a tracker of some kind for experience. I wasn't sure what was going on with my "level".

Overall: An impressive game for the time ya'll had to work on it! I think it's very fleshed out, aesthetically pleasing, and genuinely fun.

Premise: Its a great setup mechanically for a very incomplete game. All the pieces are there to later make something awesome.

Right Now: There isn't anything to do in this game. There is some serious graphical artifacts I wish weren't there but aren't that big of a deal. Item collection seems to not really be a thing, but a basic inventory UI element is set up and items drop correctly.

Major Issues: This game does not scale. At all. For mobile devices or for lower resolution laptop screens. When playtesting I was not able to see the bottom or right of my screen.

Overall: An impressive start mechanically but really doesn't hold up as a playable game.

I made a game using a few of your monsters and a couple of your tilesets for a class at university two semesters back. I decided to go ahead and upload the game now. So, here is a link! (I don't know where else to send it, I hope this meets your requirements, lol)

Sound and background were nice additions. Very few changes from the project starter. Still many bugs. Ex. Explode then hold the shoot button, the animation will never complete. You can still move and shoot when dying. etc.
⭐💥💥💥💥

I like the idea of the beat up kinda thrown together ship fighting off aliens. The explosions are weirdly tiny and don't seem to match the rest of the game. I also think the game could use with a few more enemy types and a better difficulty curve. Sounds would make it nicer too.
⭐⭐💥💥💥

Let me start off with it looks fantastic! I like the idea of a launch-able fireball. It feels weird to have enemy difficulty be a setting instead of them scaling up over time. The sword also doesn't seem to do anything.

⭐⭐⭐💥💥

Really solid game! It doesn't display right on mobile though (because you forgot to set it as mobile friendly on Itch.Io)
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The mechanics are solid enough, but I think it is still a bit buggy. (I can move after being destroyed?) I also wish there was sound.

Fantastic game. I don't have any feedback that hasn't already been mentioned by other users. Make the control scheme more obvious (and maybe make the draggable area on the ship bigger, because I have large thumbs) and fix the difficulty issues. Sound could help. Other than that, I am super impressed! I really like dying to the boss over and over again and almost beating him.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

All around decent game! I wish the pacing felt a little faster, or you could upgrade your bullets to shoot quicker. Some extra sound effects wouldn't hurt either.

I like the game. I think airplanes instead of the typical spaceships was a cool change. Music gets a little repetitive and I feel like the planes should explode on death. Some increased difficulty would serve the game well. A little buggy, but that is easily polished!

⭐⭐⭐⭐💥

I really like the style of this game and the parallax background. Still contains some significant bugs. Could also use a lot more sound.
⭐⭐⭐⭐💥

I like the game. The spread of the shots as you upgrade is a little awkward. The firing sound is also a little intrusive, maybe just lower its volume? Still some bugs to work out too. Overall, great job!
⭐⭐⭐⭐💥

Cool game overall but I think you could do with another enemy type. Difficulty scale is kind of crazy too. And you should clear the leaderboard of the test runs with like a million points.
⭐⭐⭐⭐💥

The game's difficulty curve (super easy to suddenly impossible) could use some adjustment, but otherwise "two thumbs up"!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Art, sound, upgrades, theme... It is all so cool! The only thing I would change is up the difficulty a lot. Right now, I just play until eventually I decide to let the enemies kill me.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I love it! I think adding power ups later would make it really cool. I've not been able to beat the boss yet b/c I'm bad at it but ya know, whatever. Parallax background is awesome.

Neat concept, funny upgrades. Undefined and NaN errors occasionally.

⭐⭐⭐⭐💥

I like that you made a health bar! The leveling and the new upgrade are cool. Good that you made sure text contrasted background on UI, though I would've gone with something less intrusive then just having no background at the top and bottom.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I like your door sound! And the art all seems very aesthetic.

Very buggy text displays. Upgrades don't seem to work consistently. Sometimes enemies start with 0hp and can't be killed.

For those who don't have MS-Paint, or want that retro XP MS-Paint feel, check out this website! I think its so cool!

My favorite game of the jam. Hope you still get some good reviews even though it is late.

Just super impressed that you made a gameboy game. I can't seem to get it to let me shoot. I am using Gearboy emulator.

I really like it! There are some weird jump height inconsistencies I was running into though. I had to switch devices to play.

In case anyone is having trouble getting this running (because they forgot to set it to Web/HTML on the project page), I am temporarily hosting a copy of this game. You can play it here: https://temp-alien-hero-yaea7.ondigitalocean.app/

I became the very thing I sought to destroy. Made me feel bad. I'd like to speak to the manager of your game dev team.

I am still running. They will never catch me.

Simple and fun. I was excited when I beat it.

I am SO impressed by what ya'll got done with an extremely complex concept.

Poor leaf.
